Thanks guys for the empathy. Quick question: does the 90-day timeline now start from the date when USCIS receives the RFE response? I am planning send back documents by March 21st since I am traveling right now. Do you think my timeline will get all messed up because of this RFE?

This is so stressful. I may lose my job offer.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It is unlikely for them to take another full 90d. Given you are adjusting from J1, you'll likely have your GC way before any of us K1 adjusters -remember, in a way the RFE is a good thing as they are working on your case.

Yes, you can always try expediting - involve your congressman/woman for that. But, you'll need to satisfy the RFE before they will issue anything.

Well I guess my post on Friday was over optimistic, bordering on insane. So I haven't received my biometrics letter and the agent I was speaking to said if I haven't received it by today, to ring them and they would fax it to me. So I just rang them and the agent I was speaking to said that I haven't even been scheduled for an appointment yet! So beyond frustrated right now!!!!

I'm one of the unlucky ones who is still waiting for the biometrics letter. So frustrating!! I spent so much time poring over my AOS package only for them to screw up on their end with something as simple as my address. UGH. It drives me crazy to think that if I had mailed my applications a few days later, I probably would have had my appointment by now.

Anyway, on Monday I received the response to my service request, but all it said was that the National Benefit Center was handling my case (which I already knew!) and that my service request would be forwarded to them for processing, and to wait until 30 days from the date of this letter to inquire about it. :ranting: Utterly useless! This letter came from my local USCIS office in Jacksonville, FL... so obviously they have my address.

Yesterday I called USCIS again and this time the Tier 1 lady transferred me immediately to Tier 2 without me having to put up a fight like the previous times. Tier 2 put me on hold for a while after I explained the situation, then came back and said he had updated my address in the system and sent a request to schedule the biometrics appointment to the Jacksonville office. He said I should get my biometrics appointment letter within two weeks. He seemed more competent than anyone else I had talked to so far, so we'll see what happens. :clock:

02/29/2016: Still haven't received biometrics letter, Filed service request

03/30/2016: After more calls to Tier 2 and 2 service requests, letter still not received, USCIS said no appointment has been scheduled. Reached out to Congressman.

04/06/2016: Biometrics letter finally received thanks to Congressman's inquiry (Appointment scheduled 04/18/2016).

04/18/2016: Biometrics appointment

04/25/2016: Officially outside processing times for EAD/AP. Scheduled Infopass appointment for 05/10.

05/21/2016: Finally received email notice that EAD was approved on 05/19 after numerous service requests, infopass appt and ombudsman inquiry

05/23/2016: Received hard-copy letter notifying me that my AP was approved on the same day as my EAD. No hard-copy for EAD yet.

05/28/2016: Received EAD/AP Combo Card (122 days since filing).

06/21/2016: Received email notification of AOS interview (Appointment scheduled 07/21/2016)

07/21/2016: AOS interview. Approved, but file was missing medical. Local office can't issue GC until they receive medical from DOS.

07/25/2016: USCIS case status changed to New Card Is Being Produced!

08/01/2016: Green card in hand. ROC window opens Apr 29, 2018.

I believe there must have been some sort of glitch that wiped out the address portion for particular date, in this case the 29th or so. My address was updated manually by tier2 support 2 weeks ago but I still don't have biometric letter yet. so here is my question again. anyone whose address was missing successfully received the biometric letter yet?

I'm one of the unlucky ones who is still waiting for the biometrics letter. So frustrating!! I spent so much time poring over my AOS package only for them to screw up on their end with something as simple as my address. UGH. It drives me crazy to think that if I had mailed my applications a few days later, I probably would have had my appointment by now.

You got your NOA1 on the 29th just like me and some other people on this thread. Something definitely happened to our packets. How annoying!!

Yep, same boat here. Case was received on the 29th. Same story that address was missing. My theory is they got a New person on the job who messed up the cases that day :sleepy:

We called again last Friday to have 2 (not just 1) Tier 2 person yelled at me, telling that we just have to wait :( They really do not care in my opinion. So we contacted Senator's office . I guess we wait and see what happens now. :clock:
