So here is what happened. I called USCIS and talked to Tier 2 and found out that their system is missing (????) our address which explains why we haven't received our biometric letter yet. And the Tier 2 support was wondering how in the world we were able to get the NOA dated 1/29 if they're missing the address. He manually updated our address from "... blank" to our current address but he said it'll take 2 - 3 weeks minimum to process our new biometric letter. It's interesting how their scanner could've missed our address is just beyond my imagination. My next question is then has the scanner missed any other info on our application??? I guess we'll find out in a month. sigh....

I filed a service request on 2/29 and now it says this in the case history section: "On March 2, 2016, we sent a response to your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number TXXXXXXXX." I will wait a few days until I receive this response to call them again. I'm hoping it'll be my biometrics letter.

05/23/2016: Received hard-copy letter notifying me that my AP was approved on the same day as my EAD. No hard-copy for EAD yet.

05/28/2016: Received EAD/AP Combo Card (122 days since filing).

06/21/2016: Received email notification of AOS interview (Appointment scheduled 07/21/2016)

07/21/2016: AOS interview. Approved, but file was missing medical. Local office can't issue GC until they receive medical from DOS.

Our cases are indeed very similar. What a frustrating situation!

I just checked my case status online. I filed a service request on 2/29 and now it says this in the case history section: "On March 2, 2016, we sent a response to your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number TXXXXXXXX." I assume it's by mail, yes. Hopefully they have found my address by now and I will actually receive it. :rolleyes: I'll call them back if I haven't received it sometime next week.

I only filed the service request for the AOS, so only one MSC number.

Thanks :) I wish we do receive them soon.

After the hassle for the long wait at TSC last year, I heard AOS was easier, silly me thinking any part of this journey would be easy :sleepy:

Ok still no letter for me. Already called a tier 2 officer and he said that there is no address in my application and there is no scheduled appointment yet for my biometics and that i have to wait uuggghhhhh....again.

I'm finally done! took oath at DEC 2019 😁

I'm starting to wonder if they had some kind of software issues during January that wiped some of their information in their systems or something. As someone who filed the start of February and follows that thread too, the "we don't have your address" excuse seems too common in the January thread to be just a coincidence. A

July 23rd, 2015: (NOA2) NVC received

Aug 31st, 2015: NVC Approved and fwd case to consulate in Montreal. MTL case # given.

Sept 8th, 2015: MTL received and sent P3 by mail, Sept 18th, 2015: P3 received in mail, Sept 18th, 2015: DS-160 completed and P3 documents sent by e-mail

I am sorry to hear that, guys :/

I am going a little off topic here for anyone who might be interested. I got my Driver's License today here in Texas (after the K1, while adjusting status to be exact) and it'll only expire in 10/2017 :D The only issue I faced was that first time I walked in the DPS they sent me home without taking the road test because my status needed to be verified.

They can, yes. That is due to the fact that a significant proportion of K1 get an interview waiver - as they already interviewed in their home country. These cases then languish around at NBC or the local office...often 6 months+. You can still be lucky and adjudicated early - or wait more than a year. No way of knowing.

On a side note: still no change for me since Biometrics 2 weeks ago - I guess the status only updates for interview, RFE or approval.
