I will call with my hubby as well. Did you have to talk to a Tier 2 to get them to fax it to you?? feeling anxious right now. We don't have a fax machine, any chances they will email it??

There are many online fax services you can get.

I used HelloFax and have a free 1 month account.

Just setup an account (it's free for the first month and like 10-15 a month after that. You can cancel after the trial is over) and you'll get setup with a fax number.

Using that fax number you can send/receive faxes. Incoming faxes will be also be emailed to you.

Don't recommend EFax. I never received any faxes.

Thanks so much for sharing this information! I haven't received the biometrics letter either and just called and made a service request for "non-delivery of other notice"- he said I should get email in the next day or two, and a response from the service center with jurisdiction over my case within a week or so. Thanks for the heads up!!

Called USCIS this morning for my biometrics appt letter. They faxed it to me few minutes ago.

It's this Friday.

So I finally talked to a Tier 2 officer, who told me that no biometrics appointment had been scheduled for me yet so I hadn't missed any notices. Maybe it has to do with how busy the local office is??

He also said that there was no US address associated with any of my cases. I told him that I've received all 3 NOA1s at the beginning of the month, and he said that it was 'weird' that my file didn't show my address... Not very reassuring!! He said that since I received the notices, then "they must have my address somewhere in their system". Ugh. I think I'm going to give it a few days and try to call again.

I say ask for higher customer service cause they might have sent it and you did not get it and if you missed it you will be denied from what I hear from what other people said about what happened to them

Just keeping you guys posted on what happen. So my "RIE" said:

"The "Sponsor's Household Size" on the petitioner/sponsor's Form I-864, Affidavit of Support (revision date 07/02/2015), was calculated incorrectly or not completed. A household size of 0 or 1 is not acceptable."

I don't know how, since I verified the documents, but since it was my husband who filled those out there might be something that slipped by me.

Either way, I hadn't called USCIS until today and I congratulate all of you who deal with Tier 1s. I tried to confirm if the mistake was on the sponsor or co-sponsor's I-864 and I couldn't' get anything that I didn't already know. Very useless.

I am thinking it was the sponsor. Do any of you think that I have reasons to worry about which affidavit they referred to?

Thank you :)

Thanks. This helps a lot.

Advance Parole

An Advance Parole (AP) document is issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and provides a non-immigrant K-1 visa holder permission to re-enter the United States while their Legal Permanent Resident Adjustment of Status (AOS) application is pending. Failure to obtain advance parole BEFORE departing the U.S. effectively invalidates your LPR application. It is not enough to have applied for advance parole, you must have received approval before you travel.

You may apply for Advance Parole if you have an adjustment of emergent personal or bona fide business reasons. Due to the processing required to issue an AP it is advisable to apply far in advance of when you plan to travel. As of late 2007 AP's were taking up to 100 days to be issued. In an emergency a person may make an InfoPass Appointment at a local USCIS office and request an AP expedite. Proof of the emergency must be provided, along with a copy of the AOS NOA receipt.

IMPORTANT: Please note that expedited processing is done at the discretion of the Field Office based upon the evidence provided by the applicant. Approvals vary from office to office, as well as officer to officer, so what is standard at one office may not necessarily be standard at another.

Good luck!

You need to speak to Tier 2 immediately.

Don't wait for the 30 day spiel. Call and ask to speak to Tier 2 immediately.

So here is what happened. I called USCIS and talked to Tier 2 and found out that their system is missing (????) our address which explains why we haven't received our biometric letter yet. And the Tier 2 support was wondering how in the world we were able to get the NOA dated 1/29 if they're missing the address. He manually updated our address from "... blank" to our current address but he said it'll take 2 - 3 weeks minimum to process our new biometric letter. It's interesting how their scanner could've missed our address is just beyond my imagination. My next question is then has the scanner missed any other info on our application??? I guess we'll find out in a month. sigh....

Your case is very similar to mine. Please see my other post on this thread.

I got my RFE hard cover on Monday. (February 29th, 2016)

Apparently, I skipped a section on my I-864 Form. Minor. It is all good. I just refilled the form and send in the documentation today - March 2nd. I am guessing this is a blessing because we submitted photocopies of the income tax returns mainly cuz we didn't have the tax return transcripts.

So we ordered the tax return transcripts and we are sending those instead of the photocopies of the tax returns. I don't think it makes a difference but just in case.
