Would making an Infopass appointment help at this point?

Or is it still too early?

I called USCIS today about my biometics letter, they said they WILL mail and wait 15-30 days after today.

then he gave me like a follow up reference number if ever they forgot to mail it.

I'm finally done! took oath at DEC 2019 😁

Beyond pissed off right now.

So I finally call again for the 4th time to speak to a Tier 2 and they finally transfer me to a Tier 2.

It turns out the Biometrics appointment was today! Are you kidding me?

We never received any letter at all.

And when I asked the previous 3 USCIS reps they all told me that the Biometrics appointment still wasn't scheduled nor was a letter mailed out.

Now Tier 2 tells me that I'll have to wait until March 9 for USCIS to respond to me to setup a Biometrics appointment. Not even a appointment, just an official response.

How did Tier1 not know that a Biometrics appointment was setup?

What can I do to get this rolling? Wait until March 9th and pray that they didn't mess things up again?

Really need to leave the country by the end of April.

Sorry to hear. The tier 1s are really just call center people - they have no access.

If I were you I'd try to get the congressperson's/senator's staff involved.

I am sorry to hear that!!

That customer service for USCI - they do not know anything. They were telling me that my letter was not send out and I got it the next day.

Unbelievable. I mean, they should be there to help us out in this horribly stressful and long process. Those people have no idea what we go through.

Our AOS was accepted on January 8th, Still waiting for biometrics letter, called USCIS on February 8th to find out where our letter was at, the person on phone was very helpful she took all our info and was told to wake 2 weeks and if we don't hear nothing call back. On February 22nd we got letter that basically said "At this time you have not been scheduled for a biometrics appointment. When you are scheduled for an appointment you will receive a notice in the mail that states the date and time you are scheduled for biometrics." It is now closing in on 7 weeks since AOS was accepted, was wondering if any one else got letter like this and how long did you have to wait for biometrics letter. It seems like this is an excessive wait compared to some other timelines on this site who got letter in as little as 2 weeks

Read my post above.

High possibility that your Biometrics appointment already passed.

Tier 1 has no clue what's going on.

You have to speak to Tier 2.

Would making an Infopass appointment even help? I don't see any option for Biometrics on the Infopass page.

Plus it looks like my local USCIS Application Support Center doesn't even have Infopass appointments at all. Just scheduled Biometric Appointments.

Can I (USC) call them about the fingerprint letter? would they talk to me? or my husband would have to call?? We are moving so I wanted to get the letter before we do that :(

Yes you can, you both need to be together during the call. your husband will tell them he gives permission to you for talking in behalf.

I tend to switch languages when I get tired/mad/angry. My husband(USC), however, can just do fine.

Hello everyone. I had my biometrics done today at Boston ASC. The actual process took about 15 minutes, and the staff was friendly and courteous. Two observations that might help some of you here:

1. Boston ASC allows you to bring your phone inside the building, and just expects you to keep it switched off. They are not very strict though. Some people were still playing Candy Crush while waiting for their number be called!

2. They turned away a few people who tried to do a walk-in. But again, it was 10:15 A.M. and the place was packed. It may be different in the middle of the afternoon but I cannot tell.

3. I had arrived 45 minutes before my actual appointment time, and had the biometrics taken exactly at the time of the appointment. So, I guess planning to arrive at the ASC an hour in advance will be fine, given the city traffic. I hate waiting and read a book to keep me from becoming anxious.

Good luck to all of you waiting for biometrics here!

Well, two big updates for me.

I woke up this morning to a text and email that I got a RFE dated February 23rd, 2016. The letter is in the mail. That was a bummer to my date. I guess, I just have to push things back. Hopefully, it won't affect my EAD or AP because it was on my I-485 form. Hopefully, it is nothing major that can't be solved.

I went for my biometrics appointment today at the schedule date and time at the Brooklyn Application Support Centre in Borough Park. It was an hour out of my way so I decided to just go at the scheduled date and time instead of earlier.

I got there around 1pm. I was asked to turn off my phone and then given two forms to fill out with the regular information, including the receipt numbers for my I-485 and my I-765 form. It was packed. There were about 75-100 people in there. I was instructed to wait to get a number from a lady at the end of the room. From there, I was asked to take a seat anywhere by the first row with two sets of five chairs.

I waited for an hour and half. When my number was called, we were instructed to wait for an open customer service rep to get fingerprinted and photographed.

The process of being fingerprinted and photographed took less than 10 minutes.

At one point, a lady who came early was able to go through the process but it was noted that she came on an earlier date and something had to be changed in the system. Therefore, I think it is best to just wait for your date and time appointment unless it is urgent.

The staff was courteous once you were polite and cooperative. They gave simple instructions, like relax your hands. They clean your hands with alcohol to remove the oil so that it is fingerprinted better.

It was pretty simple and painless. There was never a lull in activity. Once your number was called, you were served within 15 minutes. Although, they asked to turn off the phone, they were people on their phones periodically. I suggest taking a book. I finished a chapter and half of mine with the hour long wait before my number was called.

OK had did my biometrics done today at the north broad st centre in NJ. I arrived at 8am for a 9am appointment. Cellphones had to be turned off. The security at the door was very helpful and courteous. I was finished with fingerprint by 9am as within the wink of an eye the place was full. So if you have an appointment there please to reach at least 30 mins early. The waiting starts again.

Quick question. We have biometrics tomorrow. The letter in the mail has her married last name, but her state ID card has her original last name. Passport has her original last name. We are taking the certified marriage certificate with us as proof that we are married. Will there be an issue with getting fingerprinted since we didn't get an ID with the updated name yet? When we went to the Social Security office after the marriage they said we needed to have USCIS update it first before they could update it. I think that's not correct but I don't know the system.

Will we have any issues tomorrow or will it just delay things until we go to Social Security, update the name and then reschedule biometrics?
