So, I was thinking about RFEs and stuff. Has anyone here received it yet? Is there an expected amount of time for it to happen, meaning, is it safe to say that after X days you won't receive one? Or we could receive it from when we file until we receive a possible interview letter?

RFEs can happen at any time during the process including and up to and after your interview.

We've received an RFE.

We sent my husband's AOS packet on January 4th and recieved an RFE on Febuary 3rd.

(He also had his biometrics on February 3rd)

It took about a week or so to recieve the actual RFE notice in the mail. We haven't sent back the response yet but planning on it by Wednesday.

The next few week will be the dangerous RFE territory for us Jan filers. From my reading, most RFEs get sent out in the window of a few weeks around biometrics...

But of course you can still get RFE'd anytime.

Yes it was something so simple: my mom forgot to type her name on page 3! Oops!

So they requested a new updated I-864 plus recent tax return/transcripts as well as proof of citizenship.

Pretty easy. Thank goodness!!!!

There seems to be a few days' lag in my case too. My priority date/receipt date of AOS package was Jan. 20th and fingerprint fee was received on Jan. 27th. I don't know why that happens though.

I have the same day's difference. EAD/AP received Jan 20th, AOS Notice date Jan 22nd, Fingerprint fee received Jan 22nd.

If your AOS NOA-1 date is Jan 28th, Feb 28th will be your 30 days. Call them then and they should be able to do something.

Thank you for the answers, everyone :) Sad to know, though. Wouldn't it be nice if after a determined amount of days we'd see ourselves free of that? Haha

Anyhow, had my biometrics today in San Antonio, TX. The office was empty. It took me less than 15 minutes to finish it all. Great experience, considering I was preparing myself for over an hour or so :D
