For those who did the biometrics already.

Do I need to bring anything else apart from letter and my ID? just making sure.

Also how long it take you guys? I have to travel to the office for over an hour so I would like to have an idea so I can plan my day.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experience in this thread. I think it makes it easier to know what stages other people are since it it a constant waiting game.

The day you end waiting would be they day you get your US citizenship.

Just the appointment letter and your ID for verification.

I agree we just got back. A rather pleasant govt experience. Even w/ security only took about 10 mins...with rescans.

Greeted kindly by security. Looked around and a gal waved us over. She was too softspoken and hard for me to even understand her. We filled out a form, even though they dont even keep it and I think everything is mostly in the barcode scan but whatever.

They take 4 fingers / time and then thumbs but my wife has a few skinny round fingers so they had to do the roll on those.

We made sure she lotioned upthe past few days....thanks @Merrytooth.

Also, since everyone here is always trying to get away with the least possible. Be sure to bring ur marriage cert if you name changed.

Sent my AOS package in January 19 2016 and already received my biometrics letter today. They scheduled my biometrics for February 24 2016. Hope AOS is faster than the K-1 process.

Joining this thread... Super worried and anxious. Sent my AOS to the Chicago Lockbox 1/27 and USPS shows it was delivered 1/29... Still no email nor text that they got it and check hasn't been cashed.

Anyone filed around the same date and still no word?

Wow so many of us have received the biometrics appointment letter yesterday for biometrics on Feb. 24th. :dancing: Hope it goes smoothly for all of us.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Does my spouse need to accompany me to the biometrics (I am the beneficiary)? The appointment letter only has my name on it.

2. Does anyone know how early walk-ins work, especially, at the Boston ASC? Should I arrive when they open at 8am, and hope they let me in? Can walk-ins delay the AOS process?
