So I checked the status of the case this morning and saw that they sent out an RFE yesterday Fenruary 3rd for my husband's I-485.

We filed January 4th.

I'm both excited and nervous: excited because that means someone is actually working on his case after only a month!

Nervous because there's an RFE ??

Now I'm going to be glued to the mailbox and crossing my fingers they're requesting something simple.

We filed January 4th.

I'm both excited and nervous: excited because that means someone is actually working on his case after only a month!

Nervous because there's an RFE ??

Now I'm going to be glued to the mailbox and crossing my fingers they're requesting something simple.

I'm not sure they wait for biometrics to be completed before an adjudicator gets ahold of someone's case.

The fact that they received my husband's case on January 5th and now today I saw the update about the RFE has me surprised to say the least.

I will venture to say that they already have access to the biometrics/fingerprints so now we wait for the RFE letter and see what exactly they need.

05/23/2016: Received hard-copy letter notifying me that my AP was approved on the same day as my EAD. No hard-copy for EAD yet.

07/21/2016: AOS interview. Approved, but file was missing medical. Local office can't issue GC until they receive medical from DOS.

I filed from NJ. Do you know if your package has been delivered (i.e. Tracked shipping?) Has the check been cashed?

Hi, I am a February filler, and have a question, my checks have been cashed today, but haven't received any text regarding status, NOA-1?

Has this happened to anyone? And I included the text update form...

 

Check cashing is good. The text update is not the most reliable service. It is not uncommon to never receive one. Start checking the mailbox for the NOA.

Hi there!

On Feb 3, I also received an RFE for I-485.

I called USCIS and asked about the details of the RFE (so I could do things in advance), but they don't have such information with them.

I have no choice but to wait beside the mailbox for that letter.

Hoping they will not give us a big headache... :clock:
