You should, it's quite scary though especially if you're a Muslim, it took this guy 14 years of struggle to get his citizenship just because he was a Muslim

I'm not Muslim.

I'm not Muslim.

I know you're not, I just wanted to recommend since it's interesting and I believe you already know a lot about immigration issues

Don't get overwhelmed. There are a lot of Muslims who recently passed this process without any problems and delay. My cousin (Ukrainian, not Muslim) had problem with her fingerprints all time - for green card and naturalization process. She had been waiting for over year. I know a Russian woman (not Muslim) who had been waiting for background check for 4 years. She had to hire a lawyer and file a 'Writ of Mandamus' (https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/mandamus) to make her case move.

I see there is a delay in some offices so just be patient and positive.

I know but it is hard to stay positive, although you're absolutely right. I never had a problem with finger printing or even with my last Green Card, as I mentioned earlier, I also have the TSA-Pre which requires intense FBI background check, not easy to get that if you're a Muslim, just this delay is driving me nuts, oh well, fingers crossed

Thanks!

Your status will be updated when you receive a letter in the mail.

Good luck at the interview!

I understand your feeling. Your background has been checked at work, during previous immigration process and now, it supposes to be fast. Instead of that you are stuck with others.

I remember, it was mention on the biometric appointment notice that you can provide a letter from the FBI if you were checked. Maybe you can send a request to the FBI office to get your record for current naturalization process?

Guys in the website donated money to some suspicious Charities associated to ISIS. That's why their citizenship application were denied.

After calling them several times, I finally received a Biometric appointment. My NOA was 01/21, apparently my supposed-to-be biometric was on 2/17 but of course I missed it because I only received a receipt letter with no appointment listed, no I am scheduled for 4/27. :(

Oh no! :( I'm sorry for your lost mail. Hopefully, your background checking process will be fast.

Good luck to you!

I have received the update via email and/or text that I have been scheduled for an interview... That was last April 13th.

It's now April 21st, I have not received an actual letter with a date.

I'm just worried that I'll miss the actual date of my interview.

Should I be worried? When do I start panicking? :)

Thank you.

Got our interview date: 5/23 (Asad & Sajida)

Question: can I (US Citizen) accompany my spouse (resident) to the actual interview?

You can wait for your spouse in the lobby (waiting room). You cannot be with your spouse during interview.

Only lawyer and interpreter can accompany your spouse to the interview. I'm not sure about interpreter but I saw some of them sitting with future citizens at the oath ceremony.
