I just got a text and email, today, April 13, 2016, notifying me that my interview has been scheduled!! :)


I haven't received the letter yet so I don't know what day is my interview.


But I better start studying soon. :)

San Francisco and San Jose offices are moving almost with the same speed.

Your interview date should be mid of May (May 16 or 17).

I was e-notified today that "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number NBC*XXXXXXXXX, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony." I will update with the date when I have received the letter.

Mine too, still says " we received your application blah blah blah" I have one of the most unique names, Charlotte office does not have a back log, it has to do something with country of birth or perhaps religion, can't think of anything else

You should, it's quite scary though especially if you're a Muslim, it took this guy 14 years of struggle to get his citizenship just because he was a Muslim

Don't get overwhelmed. There are a lot of Muslims who recently passed this process without any problems and delay. My cousin (Ukrainian, not Muslim) had problem with her fingerprints all time - for green card and naturalization process. She had been waiting for over year. I know a Russian woman (not Muslim) who had been waiting for background check for 4 years. She had to hire a lawyer and file a 'Writ of Mandamus' (https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/mandamus) to make her case move.

I see there is a delay in some offices so just be patient and positive.
