Could someone tell me, if there is a specific email address one writes to, in order to ask permission to be present at their fiance's interview in Moscow?

We are trying to schedule an appointment for the middle of March and I would like to ask someone, if I can be there with him.

Also, is there a long wait between the time one applies for the DS-160 and the time they actually are given an interview?

Many thanks ~ we are advancing in the process!

The embassy in Moscow changed a few years back and now allows, even encourages the petitioner to attend the interview. No special permission required. When getting in line outside the embassy show your US passport.

You are lucky. When my then fiancee interviewed I was there but had to wait outside in the cold and snow (actually waited for a while down the street in a cafe). She was in line at the embassy about 7:40 am and got out of the embassy a little after 10:00.

Don't worry, you will do fine.

The email for the US embassy in Moscow is: ConsulMo@state.gov

I am not sure, whether the petitioners can simply walk in on the time of the interview. To stay on the safe side, I wrote at that email and got the answer saying I was totally welcome to accompany my Mom on the day of her interview. Then I asked to send me the invitation. They answered, my name would be on the entry list on the interview date. Everything went smoothly: the guard checked my US passport, after that me and my Mom entered the embassy together.
