I see several people on this forum with scan dates in late December (mine was Dec 21). I was wondering how long it took NVC to let you know your scan date. I got my notification on Jan 9, i.e. 19 days after the fact. Is this typical? When I called the rep said they’d been having problems with email. I am curios what everyone else’s experience was. Thank you.

So the 3 of us is just jumping up and down, waiting for them to get to our date :)

With a bit of luck we can have it Friday. And then may get a date about a week after that.

Best of luck to you two and all the rest also :)

Oke i have 2 questions,

1 in the interview letter has been written that you need to bring financial evidence i864

now my question,

Why? We have filed this to the uscis and later again to the nvc and in both cases they are approved.

And does it also mean that i need to bring his paystubs and anuall statements as well?

2.

In the interview letter is written under headliner translations,

All documentsnot in english or dutch must be accompanied by a certified translation

Into english by a certified sworn translator. Incompetent translations can not be processed

Question,

Does this mean that i dont have to bring translations from dutch to english?

And does it mean that if i have a letter thats in for example spanish.... it needs to be translated in to english right.

I bring my translations from dutch to english anyway but that is what it says right?

and my thanslations are copys of the originals but without the signature of the sworn translator i sended those out and forgot to make the copies so the uscis have the originals oeps haha.

but as how i read it here i dont need translations its nice but not nessesary right?

thx

That was my wife above in post #1180. Yes, we got our third N/A this morning just about when I predicted based on other responses here. I noticed that folks who got a 12/15/2015 scan date got their CCs on 1/22/2016, so I figured we had 2 more business days and two business days later, we're here. We filed an I-864EZ (no, I'm not rich...lol) and apparently I squeezed past the minimum on the Poverty Guidelines.

We are soooooooooo glad this chapter is over because I have not seen my mother in 7 years (marital disaster, divorce, single father stuff, as the children live with me, meeting my current wife, courting, taking trips to see her, getting married made it near impossible to go see my mom who lives in the Caribbean, herself). We NEEDED this to happen so when I see my mom again, I will have my ever beautiful wife next to me. In fact, me and my 3 brothers are planning a later April trip to go see her and have a sought of family reunion. So, yes, there was sooooooo much riding on this approval in hopes that we could get an interview date by at least EARLY April (we are hoping for March) to keep that trip alive. Yes, for something like this, you get choked up because we are that much closer to FINALLY living our lives together and being able to travel together and live like a husband and wife ought to.

Thanks for all the support and all the answers, replies and well wishes.
