I called them first and they told me to wait. After the payment was cleared from the bank, I think it was a day or two before the status changed to PAID.

Just got off the phone with a very rude NVC rep who was not too keen in helping me with info I needed....I called to find out abt the email for receiving my son's packet...she said their system shows it was sent to my husband's email on 20-Jan-2016.....however, he did not get anything of the sort from NVC in his inbox, junk/spam neither is it in his Trash mail.

Then she was audacious enough to tell me that she is not at liberty to give me any contact details since I was not on the case. All I was giving her was my husband's email address once more to confirm that was the email address they had on file!

You get friendly, patient ones....then there are the ones from Hades who want to destroy you for seeking answers :ranting:

Guys, I just called up the National Visa Center and was told tat my Case is COMPLETE :-) Scan Date was DEC 14th and CC was JAN 20th. I make that a total of 37 days from scan date to case complete.

My case is an employment case so my "Affidavit of Support Fee" was always set to "Exempt" is still this way. So no 3 N/A's for me despite the case being complete.

Bitter sweet day today as have just found out that the Case is Complete but also found out that my petition may be cancelled by the US employer petitioning me. Which means a 17 month process to date would have all come to nothing.

Good luck to everyone with their cases.

Correct i amended it to JAN 20th seconds after i posted it. You were pretty fast on the trigger in your response.

An employer can cancel a petition at any time if they feel the job they were going to hire you for is no longer open. It can be that simple.

Many Congrats Mariannamaui. I have a scan date of DEC 14th and just called the NVC who advised that due to the backlog it is taking between 30 and 45 days. I am on day 31 now so will have to just wait patiently but hoping to hear something by the end of next week.

I'd appreciate it as soon as you find out anything about your Visa Interview date. As i will also be interviewing from London and would be interested about how long it is taking now from case complete through to interviewing at the London embassy.

I will let you know! For sure. I think it has been taking between 5 and 14 days to get a slot in London!!!!

Thanks

Hi Mariannamaui, its been 9 days since you got your CC. Did you receive an email from the NVC confirming CC and if so how long did this take after if you found out your case was complete on Dec 14th. Any luck on getting an interview date in London yet?
