No there's no buffer. Like today someone got Case Complete 1/22 he will get the case complete email in 7 days next Friday the 29th. That's how it has been for the last 3 years.

Why a week who knows it's been there thing for some time since I been doing this in 2012.

What would be even better is if we knew at the start of that 7-day interim that a checklist is forthcoming so you get a 7 day head start on what they are asking for or asking to edit.

I don't know about in EVERY case, but when I received my checklist on my 41st day after scan date, I had called to see what was going on (because everyone around my scan date was getting CC. The man told me I had a checklist, told me what I needed (and therefore could ignore the mail I received regarding the checklist because I already knew what was missing.) He also said the mail would come within the next few days, that SAME day I received the checklist via email. Maybe it was because I called, that I received an email so suddenly, or maybe they send out checklist correspondence immediately. Thats just my case. (:

Just spoke to them and yes, they did tell me that as of NOW the case could be completed, but the system might not reflect this until 7 days later IMPLYING that they get the case completed within 30 days or so, but allow themselves an additional week to probably mass e-mail applicants for a [scan] date 30 days earlier.

For example:

Scan Date: 12/17/2015

Actual CC date: 1/15/2016

EMAIL stating Case Complete: 1/22/2016

I'm guessing that is how it goes, as it does not appear that whenever a worker is done with a case, they do not reach for their computer and send out personal e-mails to individuals alerting them that their case is completed?

So did your 3 N/As show up in CEAC yet?

So i just called NVC, no news and they was no able to tell about times for Embassy times in Sweden.

They still stick to the 30-45 days and will not tell about the date they are working with right now.

And they don´t rly care about the letters and website saying 30 days and 2-4 weeks.

I was told within 14 days there will be news, not what i wanted to hear from them.

I was wondering the same thing actually. His timeline indicates that he sent his packages on 12/16 so I'm guessing his scan date is probably around the 17th assuming EP.

Yeah can see how that's no fun.

If they didn't ask you to redo it, then maybe its fine.

Again i think they know a little more about it then we do :)

Their IV fee status system is a little buggy. Ours went from "IN PROCESS" to "NOT PAID" even after money was removed from my bank. I called them and finally it was changed to "PAID" a few days later. The IV application will be changed to COMPLETED after you submit it.
