Well, no matter when you find out, you still have to "hurry up and wait" for the interview anyway, but I guess it is good to know, as early as possible, for peace of mind. I will be on that site 8 times a day from Wednesday, if they keep up the work at NVC i may see CC around end of next week.

Just spoke to them and yes, they did tell me that as of NOW the case could be completed, but the system might not reflect this until 7 days later IMPLYING that they get the case completed within 30 days or so, but allow themselves an additional week to probably mass e-mail applicants for a [scan] date 30 days earlier.

For example:

Scan Date: 12/17/2015

Actual CC date: 1/15/2016

EMAIL stating Case Complete: 1/22/2016

I'm guessing that is how it goes, as it does not appear that whenever a worker is done with a case, they do not reach for their computer and send out personal e-mails to individuals alerting them that their case is completed?

NVC says there time is down to 30 days again, but they need a buffer of 7 days to mark the case CC in system ?

So cases we see now, has been done for up to 7 days ?

Yes, that is what I am saying, but I was actually asking based on the comment that "they send you an e-mail 7 days LATER." I took that to mean the case can be completed earlier (within the 30 days), but the system is not updated with an e-mail stating this until 7 days later?

Previously ,NVC required 60 days to review the civil and financial documents. NVC now

requires only 30 days to review these documents. If the review period goes beyond 30 days,

at what point would it be appropriate to follow up on the status of the case?

RESPONSE: The average document review time period is still 30 days. NVC’s goal for

document review is 10 work days. If you have submitted your civil and financial

documents and haven’t been contacted by the NVC at the 45-day mark, you should

send an e-mail to NVCattorney@state.gov.

In order to prevent processing delays, we encourage you to submit all of the

documents for a case in a single package.Documents for multiple cases should not be

included in a package.

What i understood about it all, is that "after CC, it can be up to 7 days before you get the email".

The email is part of a batch they send out every day or what ever.

I still think they need up to 45 days for a case still.

But if ppl talk to NVC pls ask

Who ever got case completed did you guys recieve a email from NVC too stating that it was completed? Just ask because they told me we send emails right away.

They lie. Case Complete emails come 7 days after Case Complete.

RESPONSE

: NVC schedules appointments two times per month on a first - come, first- served basis based upon the appointment capacity of the post.

If a case is documentarily qualified ( and current by cut - off date), it will be placed in the appointment queue and a letter confirming DQ status will be sent

to the agent.

Most interviews are scheduled within 30 days of the case being recognized as DQ. But, if demand at a particular post is high, it may take longer.

NVC receives posts’ appointment capacity only on a monthly basis so is not able to predict when a

specific case may receive an interview appointment.

Once an appointment has been set, NVC sends a notice to the applicant with the appointment date and time, along with a link to the post website with further

information about how to prepare for the interview. The case file is then prepared for

shipping (or electronic transfer for posts who accept electronic processing) and sent to post within 10 days. Posts receive appointment and shipment lists from NVC

electronically and generally receive the physical case file within 10 days of thescheduled interview.

Something I have known and said for years. People think assignment is fluid. it's a select time monthly.

Yep that's why we say call call. You call if you want your case# a month ahead, you call if you want to confirm Case Complete and know a month ahead. You call if you want to know your interview date days ahead.

Well for many that CC gives them the green light to start serving notice get medical. So even 7 days ahead is good. I guess for the majority of VJ members we have a need to know and that's why most are very proactive. I know many who aren't and because they aren't they are month's behind in the process when they filed same time.

There's only fast, slow and non-proactive with NVC.

No there's no buffer. Like today someone got Case Complete 1/22 he will get the case complete email in 7 days next Friday the 29th. That's how it has been for the last 3 years.

Why a week who knows it's been there thing for some time since I been doing this in 2012.
