Hi all...just curious if any of the other embassies require fingerprints to be taken prior to the interview? I was reading the VJ reviews on India embassies and someone mentioned not knowing that fingerprints were needed. I checked on the Mumbai consulate webpage and sure enough they have their packet 4 posted online and finger prints and photos are on there. I didn't see it on the NVC flow chart that's posted on the first post on this thread which prompts my curiosity as well.

speaking of photos, I noticed on the NVC process it says to send 2 passport size photos. The dept of State site also lists photographs as part of the "collecting supporting documents" section; however, the wording makes it seem like it needs to be brought in during the interview and not necessarily sent in with the IV package. maybe i'm reading too much into it. if I am, my apologies...i'm just excited about finally being at the NVC stage and hoping this process will go quick and smooth.

You and each family member accompanying you must bring two identical 2 x 2 inch (51 x 51 mm) color photographs to the visa interview. The photographs must meet the Department of State’s Photograph Requirements.

● Photocopy of the biographic data page of beneficiary’s passport

● Copy of the birth certificate of beneficiary

● Copy of the marriage certificate

● Copy of police clearance certificate

Thx Frankjavir, but those numbers dont match with my math

I see in the case complete to interview form dates from people who filing at amsterdam over the last 3 years

An average of 45 days from of case complete till interview. This plus an estimate of say 80 days at the nvc it comes out for me on 120 days how can the stats then say 248 days... :s haha

Hey Gaurav, I have some news for you, that DHL tracking works like a Swiss watch.

The last shipment of packages to New Delhi was sent on Jan 5th. The tracking number is

Keep tracking a range of dates that makes sense with your CC. I used Jan 4th till Jan 20th

Just got off the phone with Ellie of NVC. They got our docs yesterday and scanned them too. She said we'll get the email by Fri and we can call them back on Fri if no email was rec'd. She was very pleasant and patient with me and answered all my questions without sounding frustrated (lol). Essentially, she stated that NVC has increased their review period to the 45 days due to the high influx of cases being received daily. She also mentioned that, should a checklist be given, another wait of 30 days is mandated to be given to the client....although it will NOT take that long to review 1-2 docs. That is a protocol that they must adhere to when they are on calls.

Overall, I am happy that we finally had our docs rec'd by the NVC...the countdown to 45 days has begun

I just checked the spread sheet, there are 17 cases since 2013, I will say your guess of 45 days is very close. I saw few 70 days, few 20s and most are around 40s.

Of course not everyone in the world is in VJ, not every member in VJ shares and files timelines, not all VJ members participate in Dwheel76's spread sheet. But the numbers are good enough as a statistical scientific sample.
