I'm looking for definitions based on your experiences and less dates. Thanks

Scan Date is when National Visa Center Received your petition from USCIS and actually scanned it into their system.

CC = Case Complete. This is when all of your fees have been paid, choice of agent has been submitted, AOS and IV packages have been sent in and they (NVC) has received everything and determined you have met and completed all necessary requirements for the Visa.

Once you get a CC, then it's a matter of when the appropriate consulate is able to provide interview times.

Hope this clarifies some.

Okay.

I have never personal not talked to someone in NVC, that was not meeting me, how i was talking at them.

So it´s all about the mindset we have at the time we call.

Please let keep the post about the cases and not about if people what/what not when they call NVC.

And Frank i think there is 6-10 teams working there, i found pictures from the places on facebook, and even from the storage of files, there is many many many there :)

May you all have a good day/evening.

Very right I agree it's just people when it's involve loved one you get emotional and frustrated on this whole process and I do not blame anybody at nvc particularly its just that they should be somewhat supportive to the callers and make process more transparent that all it will take right now this black box process thing creates confusion and dissatisfaction to people dealing with process both side at nvc and us who are just told to wait.....

Hi Soeren..

Thanks for the information about the teams, I noticed a Facebook link referring to that on my results but from work I can not access Facebook.

I apologize if you or anybody else feels that the focus of my latest postings is on what conversations I/we have with the NVC reps.

My intention is to share to you with the best of my ability what I found out regarding NVC efficiency and recognize and understand what really goes in there before we label the contractors as "arrogant, inefficient, etc".

I believe in fairness and justice, not in fast judgement across a whole group of employees".

I do understand there are horror stories regarding long waits and lost documents, they are not the great majority and as humans are involved there will be mistakes.

According to what I found out, the problem seems to be management and the culture at NVC.

The employees, actually most of them are contracted so they do not have any privileges and benefits as Federal employees, as I reported they are not under the best working conditions. (Quotas, no talking, threats to be fired, layoffs, etc)

Besides a management problem, I think is a political issue where high level bureaucrats do not want to hire, but rather contract personnel to stay under budget and the reality is that NVC runs in a great percentage with the applicants money (our money) and not with tax money. That is the reason why NVC does not shot down during "Government Shutdown" due to our politicians in Washington not passing a budget.

I agree NVC is not perfect and has a lot of room for improvement but is not the low level or front line employees fault.

Let's not our frustrations and temper take over and rush to judgement on a group of people.

Hello everyone,

I have paid the AOS fee and the IV fee is currently in "in process" status. I am trying to collect all the documents for AOS package and IV package. Do I print out the I-864 and submit it with the package or is it available online?

Thanks.

I am not saying they owe us anything but they should do the job they are suppose to do... Also US is land of immigrants and way US is great because of it's immigration policy which allow quality and educated and deserving people to come here and fulfill there dreams and achieve something in there life.... Now if i qualify and meet there criteria and i am eligible i should not be penalized because somebody does not do there job efficiently and again not every person at NVC is bad or not doing job... I really appreciate few people i have been in contact with but since it's a contract agency who handle most of work you can imagine quality of work.... USCIS is very thorough and they do there job efficiently.... but NVC is becoming bottleneck now... and a big fault is management not doing there job by making process efficient...

I really do not understand your reasoning (engineering rationale)...!! You rush to condemn NVC which takes all the cases from USCIS and hail USCIS.

Do you believe that is just now NVC is bottle neck? NVC never has been current with their cases, it is economically and logistically impossible. NVC will be always a bottle neck, how long the neck becomes is the problem.

Are you serious about " USCIS is very thorough and they do there job efficiently." ?

Do you believe an agency like USCIS is efficient when it has 5 or now 6 Service Centers of which just one, California processes I-130 in an average of 60 days and the rest take 5 months or more? I have written two posts on this issue, where I criticize USCIS for its inefficiency, if California can do it, why not the other service centers?

Is it fair that only the "lucky ones" in SCC California, get a 60 days service versus 5 months for the rest, and all of us paid the same $ 420 fee?

But I guess people is OK with, I suggesedt to the whole Nebraska forum to write a letter to US Congress and the heads of the appropriate agencies to demand corrective action but I did not get a single response, so in that case I take with gratitude the title of "lucky" that you gave me.

So i was at the Doctor today and asked him about the amount of Danish people going for visa.

They have about 2-4 every week and that's the only place in Denmark you can get your medical.

So i seen people with scan date 10th Dec getting CC, so we are moving along now :) only 11 more days then to my date :)

NN all, was up really early so need sleep :)

Yeah man, your numbers are very low even though 3 countries go together at the same embassy in Stockholm, which in turn help you get a faster CC and Interview.

Last year Sweden had 212 immigrant visas, Denmark 106 and Norway 63.

My embassy in Bogota, Colombia had 7551 immigrant visas.

Good luck.

I will be watching and praying for your case and mine.

Good night and keep wagging your tail..meow..meow.!!!

It's not possible at Nebraska and yes uscis has more work then NVC because that is where background check and other formalities happen.... And at least there we can ask and know what day of cases are they working so we have an idea here at NVC no idea some people 30 days who are like lucky lottery winners and others 3 months to few years people have no majority speaking nothing good to say.... I am ok with USCIS taking its time and verifying who is coming to US because you want people, with good intentions and now NVC sole job is data entry and interview scheduling not doing research on application but again it's NVC management who have the contract that they are not doing there job if I see I have more work and also remember contacts are negotiable so if they see more work they should ask more money not let people suffer including there employees.... But again just to tell you not every case at NVC is process a majority of them are expedited and others are just backlog as they have to wait for immigrant visa number..... As far as I can see NVC very soon will become the problem if nothing happen soon.... Right now I can see it is reeling towards that outcome....

Also Nebraska have fewer employees than csc and far more cases they handle including military personnel cases which are always expedited..... 60 days to 5 months I am ok at least I know a end date but here at NVC there is no start date and end date if this forum was not there you cannot even tell what cases are they processing ..... And also yes you are lucky enjoy it I wish I had my i130 approved in 60 days but it was not the case....
