-Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal(Modified AOS cover letter: the word
AOS" taken out"

-My own Cover letter

• -Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

-Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

-Photocopy of beneficiary's birth certificate

-Photocopy of marriage certificate

-Photocopy of police certificate(s)

I am the petitioner, I am NOT including any of my documents here (My birth certificate, citizenship certificate etc).

Please highlight if anything I am missing that you guys have sent and worked..

NOTE: Some embassies like Bogota, require translations for all documents not in english. I included a translation of the beneficiary's birth certificate in our IV package because this document was not part of I-130 application package and my wife will bring to the embassy a translation of the Police certificate for the interview.

I am fully aware that NVC only requires english translations when the documents are not in english or the language of the country where the interview will take place.

So are you say if the petitioner has a divorce decree it should be sent even though that was included in I-130 packet?

I was just reading the Department of State website to make sure i didn't miss anything for my husband and saw this that might help you guys out. I only copy/pasted about the Marriage Termination but the link below explains all documents.

Marriage Termination Documentation

If you were previously married, you must obtain evidence of the termination of EACH prior marriage. Your evidence must be an original or certified copy of one of the following documents: FINAL divorce decree, Death certificate, or Annulment papers.

• You must send photocopies of your marriage termination documentation to the NVC.
• You must submit the original (or certified copy) and a photocopy of your marriage termination documentation to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview.

For country-specific guidelines on how to obtain your marriage termination document, review the Country Documents section at Reciprocity by Country.

Unobtainable marriage termination document

If a marriage termination document is unavailable per the country-specific guidelines above, you do not need to submit a copy of one to the NVC. If you cannot obtain a marriage termination document for another reason, please submit a written explanation when you submit your other documents.

Petitioner does not need it in the IV packet. This would only be if the beneficiary has had a divorce.

I haven't received the NOA2 in the mail yet. I just got my approval (text, email and myUSCIS.gov approval) on Wednesday of this past week. i'm hoping the actually notice will get to me early next week. Meanwhile, I had my husband start gathering the documents he would need for the IV packet months ago and i've already started gathering the documents i would need to provide in the AOS packet. If you haven't started doing that already, you should. most of the time, delays happen because people wait until they received the welcome letter and information from NVC to even start gathering the information.

From what i've read on VJ, from the date of your petition approval, wait at least 2 weeks then start calling NVC to confirm that they've received your petition. Once they confirm they have received it, wait another 2 weeks from the received date and call them to see if they assigned you a case number and Invoice Identification Number. You can then go online and start paying the fees, do the IV application, etc... don't wait to receive the welcome letter (if you ever get one) to keep things moving.

My previous question about Outkasst being divorced can be misleading to imply that the petitioner needs divorce documentation.

To my understanding, all the documentation required in the IV package applies to the beneficiary only.

Read it yourself and draw your own conclusion.
