Just a question

During interview do CO ask about previous marriage and if any children from previous marriage ?

Sure it's very possible. It happens all the time. It may be just one question many questions or no questions. Long as the Beneficiary knows and can answer should be no issue.

I notice u did an expedite, do u send this after u send packets or before? I see some do before and some after so I'm confused. Thank u

Expedites are requested at different times. It just depends and you request and NVC directs you to stop and continue at embassy or continue.

That was like my case.

Had two scan dates but now i have one and its before the two other.

And i can see my letters didnt get there that day they say, but i can live with that.

It seems NVC may scan the packets twice depending on mail volume. Ex: First scan when accepted at NVC's mail room when mail volume is high and then second scan when an employee opens them up for processing. If mail volume can be absorbed as it arrives and directed to employee's desks then the packages are scanned just once. This is just my speculation.

As stated, they may. I recommend searching here on Visa Journey for forums about interviews at the same consulate you will be going to, that may give you a better idea of what questions they may ask.. though every case IS different. Shouldn't be a big deal though, I hope.

Hi there y'all! Things seem to be moving right along for us eh?! We are a bit confused about submitting our packet electronically and when. There are conflicting things said on the forum and walk-thru's in the wiki. We have paid the AOS fee and submitted and reviewed the DS-261. We recieved the welcome letter with the checklist as well already. The AOS fee has been paid a week but still showing pending. My main questions .... when do we submit our packets online and what cover letter do we use for each packet? Do we wait til everything is done, IV fee paid and DS-260 unlocked to submit all the supporting documents? And as we will email in the copies of the documents as adobe pdf files, how do we separate the docs so they arent more than 5mb as the wiki states? If anyone has filed electronically for Montreal, man we would so appreciate your help getting through this. We had a hideous time at the border last time my husband visited and it has me shaking in fear pretty much every step of the way with the visa now. Thanks guys and godspeed on your cases too!

Hello!

I just went through this process and will share what I did.

I had called NVC to ask when to email the forms. the rep said wait until all fees are paid AND the DS-260 has been completed and submitted. THEN, send in your forms via email. The last fee seemed to take forever to get processed and allow the DS-260 to become available.

My hubby finished and submitted the DS-260 last Wednesday, then on Thursday I submitted the forms via email. Much to my surprise when I scanned everything it came out to 3m, so well within the size allowance and I had all of the tax transcripts from the past three years as well.

Just make sure to separate every document to it's own file like tax transcripts, AOS, etc. I sent it exactly as it shows on the travel.gov site, down to the way they want the file named, and I got my 3rd N/A yesterday less than a week after submitting. I don't know if we got lucky but not complaining at all here.

The cover letter with barcode was the very first attachment, then I followed in the order listed on the original NVC request. All I sent in was listed on that sheet, and only used the NVC cover letter once and everything was sent in one email.

It's nerve-wracking to send off that email with the documents, but if you're organized and triple check you have everything you need and in the order they are requested you should have no problems.

Hope this helps and best of luck! :D

Congratulations and welcome.

If you filed eNotification along with your I-130 NVC may notify you via email, but do not count on it.

Best thing call NVC frequently after 15

working days until you get a case number.

I recomendamos you read Saylin's NVC Wiki guide.
