Hi Frankjavir,

Just wanted clarity on this info you shared to another Trinidadian on New Year's Day: Trinidad & Tobago has 7 cases, one took too long, so eliminating that one your interview date should be about 54 days after CC.

Is the 7 you're referring to on the spreadsheet? If that's the case, then it's less than 7 since the dates are far back as 2013 and 2014. The only Trinis who I've seen that have used VJ and kept up-to-date so that we're all aware are ShirazMoe, Stone23, cokelili, Trini_manage and myself. Also, based on the NVC case # assigned to me and my kids, there are 2 persons in front of us for our embassy in Port of Spain....I'm taking a shot in the dark here but I'm guessing that the 2 ahead of us would be Trini-manage's spouse and daughter....maybe.

In any event, we are nearing the end of this long and stressful road on our Visa Journey :clock:

Congrats Jovi&James!!! I'm sure it feels like a tonne just fell off your shoulders!

You can´t use case numbers as a guide line for how is next.

Just so you don´t hope to much.

I have seen ppl before me not done yet and ppl after me done now.

And yes there is some k1/work/study visas in there, but also CR1/IR1.

Why will I assume CC's date is different from the one the three N/As appeared? Answer: even scan dates can be different from the NVC's email notification. So we can assume there is a possibility. Evenif you won't assume, I can assume.

How important is to know when EXACTLY is the CC date for you? Answer: people are counting days one by one. You can take a look for case complete to interview schedule spreadsheets as everybody put their EXACT CC date so people can even count 1 day. Besides, my personal interest is my wife will need to turn back to US so if we get a checklist before CC and if we need extra documents etc. I would like to know exact date. Also people can have their own personal reason.

Thank you for trying to convince me about unnecessary point.

First of all I am not trying to convince you of anything; I was trying to find out what was so critical about the exact scan date, honestly I thought I was missing something.

My point is exactly what you said about the uncertainty of the SCAN DATE even as per NVC originated email notifications, in other words there is build in + or - factor because no one knows exactly how NVC processes the cases, lately it has been compared to a lottery. So there is no point to pin down an exact scan date.

The following dates are cleary reported to us without ambiguity, they are exact: NOA1, NOA2,date of case # issued, DS-260 filing, AOS and IV fees payment, DS-261 filing, mailing of documents and the interview at the embassy.

The last one is the most critical because if you miss it, you are not getting a visa.

If that is the case and you qualify, you may want to have a look at using the I-864EZ. Less to fill out, and therefore less prone to error.

I second that, Gobucks! is giving you a very good advice. Here are the requirements for I-864EZ

All three of the following are true:
  1. You filed a Form I-130 petition for your relative;
  2. There is only one applicant on the Form I-130 petition; and
  3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).
Complete Form I-864EZ

Congrats Jovi&James!!! I'm sure it feels like a tonne just fell off your shoulders!

Those are the last 7 cases reported in Dwheels76's spreadsheet, not all Trinidad cases are reported in the spreadsheet since 2013.

I used the only 7 reported cases to average the waiting time between CASE COMPLETE DATE and INTERVIEW DATE for Trinidad, not to establish how many are pending in line for INTERVIEW,
