Timeline

Some get through in 6 months but the average is definitely higher than that. I would say closer to 10 to 12 months.

You can see in my post and under timelines whats the avg time is.

But i think it´s about 6-8 month now.

But again it´s all about, how you do it and if you run in to problems with Service Center, NVC or Embassy.

I had a look at the cases in my spreadsheet.

And there was a lot of cases altered by up to many days and all on the same day.

Never seen that before, have you guys and girls ever seen that before ?

And i hate that 25 cases are "ready" and they was all after my welcome date to nvc.

Hey all, quick question. Am considering canceling my fiance application in order to marry and apply for a CR1. A lawyer I talked to says CR1 is taking about 6 months. Is that right? I had previously heard 13 months. Any insight would be useful.

research....research.

Here is your answer: Brasil averages 225 days

Hello and happy new year to everyone!

I have a question which may or may not have been answered previously but here goes:

My husband and I have put together all the documents required to submit to the NVC. However, Trinidad & Tobago police certificate of character is taking too long to get back (1 officer said 2wks, 1 said 4wks...today, I was told 6-8 wks!) This is the ONLY document outstanding for us to send our package to NVC. Can this document be check-listed as "unavailable" and then provided at the consulate interview?

That is a very good question. I believe is worth to take the chance with a check list and gamble because you are gaining time by sending your package with out the police certificate.

If I was in your shoes, I would do it because if I get a checklist that will buy me time while I obtain the police certificate, if I do not get the checklist great, I will be ahead time wise and present it at the interview.

I actually told my husband that we can scan and send a copy of the receipt to the NVC which the officer gives you as proof that you applied for a PCC. Like you said, if we get a check list then we should have it by then to send it right away.

We'll try our luck and send without it because I did read in a previous forum where they mentioned that any docs that weren't sent to NVC must be presented at the consulate interview.

Patience my friend, I have over 35 cases with junior dates ahead of me. Honestly I do not believe they are CR1, they must be work and study related.

Hi The cases which you see ahead of you are all mostly K1 i.e. Fiance Visa cases which have no processing at NVC except get a case number and then they are forwarded to embassy. Others could be expedite cases which generally gets expedited at NVC and then they are just handled by Embassy and you do processing with embassy directly. So trust me nobody is ahead of you as long as you are sending your documentation to NVC ASAP and do not waste time at your end you will be in and out quickly but the curve ball is "NVC nobody knows how they process and what they are working ON"

So as the date is coming close i am getting anxious....Man i have not waited for anything so badly.... I believe they are processing Dec 7 - Dec 11 mail received. Does anyone with a scan date of Dec 7 and above received... case complete... come on NVC give me my case complete.... :clock::clock::clock::clock:

Well i know many of them are K1´s and work/study visa, but that still don´t help me ;)

But i also see cases that has many days from creation to update and that tells me that it´s most likely are CR1/IR1´s.

And for what your post was about, i don't think all embassy's are at the same date right now.

I base that on what ppl tell us in here and what Frank and I can see in our spreadsheets.

There was one with Dec 7 that got CC today, but they also was told Dec 2.

NVC are changing dates sometimes, without we knowing why.

Trust me they do not go by country or embassy. That only comes into picture at time of interview scheduling. Now to answer your question about somebody from Dec 7 got a cc today to as somebody from Dec 2, it all depends upon case and what is there to review. Most cases are not pretty straight forward if you have joint sponsor those typically take longer as they have to verify extra stuff and it is complicated, now then you have some cases due to their nature have to be reviewed by supervisor because it was not very straight forward like people who are barely qualifying with minimum income guidelines, missing some paperwork etc. Because not all paperwork will result in checklist if missing some of them they just ask you to bring to interview and do a case complete but that require supervisor review.

Also remember some employees work faster than others so if you files get stuck in a slow person hand than you are going to suffer. Also he/she might be on leave and your file is on his/her desk till they come.

Trust me USCIS as well as NVC everybody just believes in slowing this process to the point that people almost think it is like winning a lottery when you get done. So just buckle up and hope that you are lucky one. :goofy:

You sound like you done this before or do you just hope its like that ?

You didn't get what i told or maybe(more likely i didn't make myself clear :joy: ) They had 2 scandates Dec 2nd and Dec 7th, but got CC today.

Not saying you are wrong, but i have see diff. on up to 3 weeks in scandates with no checklist and no SR.

So i still believe that it´s not one big pill of papers and they just take whatever comes next.

But i can be wrong :) Like you say we dont know nothing about how they work, not even a little :(

But after reading a lot and looking at a lot of cases i think that maybe just maybe it can be i´m somewhat right :)

But if proven wrong i will surrender ;)
