Good Morning Everyone,

I called NVC on 01/05/2016, to check if they received my case from USCIS, and they did on 12/31/2015. What is the next step? How long before the next step? I'm US Citizen.

Affidavit of Support

If I made less than 125% of HHS Poverty Guideline, Can I use cash in Checking/ Saving Account?

How is this going to work? Please Let me know!

I can seem to figure out if scandate tells us the overall date from what NVC i working on or its only for what date the Embassy you´re heading to.

I mostly think its the last one.

1/4/2016 petition received at NVC (call and confirm it arrives. About 15 days try to get your case number and receipt number, I got mine in 11 days)

1/15/2016 Called NVC and got case/invoice number logged into this site to pay fees, pick agent -> https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx 1/15/2016 picked agent DS-261

1/18/2016 paid aos fee

1/28/2016 review 261 to get iv fee unlocked ( unlocked once I did review,was taking to long)

2/1/ 2016 sent AOS & IV packets together to nvc while I waited for iv fee to open to save time.

2/4/2016 paid IV Fee and waited to do ds260

2/3/2016 nvc received aos and iv packets(scan date)

2/7/2016 ds260 completed and now waiting for cc

4/20/15 shots 4/25/15 rest of medical exam

INTERVIEW APRIL 27TH @8:30

April 27th 221g for additional documentation and placed in administrative processsing.

June 20th submitted evidence requested

AUGUST 16TH embassy called and wants a new co sponser yet he met requirements.

Found a new co-sponsor

Handed in aos sept 11th

Set 18th another update

Sept 28th update and embassy called

SEPT 29TH ISSUED FINALLY

OCT 2nd visa in hand

POE October 22nd 2016

I hope it's not. But I just read the above link nvc process vj wiki and said

*Important note: Once you fill in the DS-261 and it shows as complete, do NOT go back into the DS-261 as it will re-set the date and start the clock all over again for ~30 business days.

I think call nvc to double check

The sooner the DS-261 is done the sooner you will have the IV fee. Don't touch the choice of agent link at all once its submitted, it can restart the time for IV fee to become available.

I had my case number and iin number two days now but I didn't realize I could go ahead and set up ds261.

You can fill out the DS-261 as soon as you receive your case #, then give it about a week and call NVC to review over the phone.

I just got the IV fee invoice number, Website is not working right now so that i can pay. But i am glad that i only need to fill out DS-260. then sit back and relax for 45 days.. :)
