Got the e-mail this morning stating that :

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 06JAN16. We are experiencing a
high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your
mail for the NVC to review your documents.

Both emails we´ve received from NVC Inquiry says that the documents were received on Dec. 2nd. We didn´t know where to adress the packages to DR or MR so we did both to DR. We may have messed things up right there, I´m guessing.

NVC I don't think knows their own instructions. You look at your Document cover page from the payment portal and it has this address below. But you go to the travel.state.gov for NVC and they have ATTN: DR. I put CMR AOS for AOS package and DR for the IV (thats how it use to be).

I´m sorry it´s taken you all this time. I hope you can get CC soon.

So I just called NVC and guess what...we don´t have a checklist but also our Scan date has changed from 12/02 to 12/07!!!!!! Is that even possible???

I have two emails from NVC stating that they´ve received our documentos on the 2nd of December. The operator told me that our case will most likely be complete on 01/18 if we don´t get any checklists along the way. I´m so frustrated right now.

Here is an important issue.

If the scan date is 12/07 , 01/18 will be 30 BUSINESS days. So 30-days letter means 30 BUSINESS days???

From what i know they say 30-45 days now. And thats all days not only Business days.

And the operator told me the same.

Yeah I did, and on the email it still says 30 days from scan date. I guess you should be getting yours soon. Besides, it's the CC that really counts. Thanks and good luck! :)

I just got my email today - confirming that Dec 18th is my scan date! Thank god!

30 days is Sunday, January 17th for us. 45 days is February 1st. The race is on.

I will say I had one of our congressionals contact me last week about an inquiry I did when I was at USCIS (she was on maternity leave evidently) so I just emailed her today about the discrepancies of it saying in writing on the site 2-4 weeks, 30 days on the letter, but 45 days on the phone to see if she can inquire for me on Monday if I'm not approved by the 30 day mark :) I mean, it's in writing twice - they should be obligated to follow their own metric. Honestly, nothing may come out of this but hey, it's worth a shot.

And inside i had divided it up and marked them with CMR AOS and IV so when they opened the first packet they will see the next two :)

Yes, it does seem like they have a pill for each embassy and they don't work of one big pill :)

I have 23 and 28 Dec as scandates.

But i don´t hold my breath after getting Welcome letter over a month after my case came to NVC.

NVC seems to be making there own rules so don´t hold your hopes to 30 days, but brace your self for close to 45. But best of luck :)
