You are really backing yourself into a corner on this stuff. What exactly do you mean by "wouldn't be allowed to progress to that point"? Is it illegal for 150 black people to congregate? The authorities wouldn't let it happen? But you are becoming self-aware; as you said you are projecting--your own biases, evidently.

We are all biased. I also believe virtually everybody, of all races and backgrounds, are racist to varying degrees. But race isn't always relevant, and this is one of those cases.

i'm keeping close with the actual scenario and projecting this would never be allowed to progress to such a point if the patriots weren't white. i don't think there would be deadly and merciless force from the police if this scenario were some militant minority group instead of white guys because it would never be allowed to progress to that point. and if it did, it wouldn't be all over the news as some redneck joke, everyone would be screamin race war, buying even more guns, and demanding their immediate arrest (but lets face it, many would want them shot and killed, preferably in public). no jokes but tons of fear and 'get them back in their place'.

The militia was supposed to be a force to keep the government in check. These guys should try to push the fed around with their guns. In fact, everyone that thinks their guns can help them fight the U.S. Government should go to where these guys are help "take back your country". Please do this asap. I grew up with this being an everyday issue. It is a very interesting topic and I really hate that through some irrational twisting it has been turned into a race issue.. Even NPR which can turn a can of tuna into a story about race has not been able to pull that rabbit out of this hat. Bleh.

Anyway while they have a point I would hate to see these ranchers get their way. With BLM managing the land I have thousands and thousands of acres to Hike, dozens and dozens of natural hot springs.. others use it to hunt, ride bikes, etc.. and these guys still get to put their cattle there for next to nothing (I've had to more shoo more cows off a trail than I can count). If they had their way it would be miles of barb wire fences with no trespassing signs.

The area this is happening in is mostly desolate but there are some really cool caves where it is basically 10-15 foot entrances going straight down that lead into football field sized underground areas with pristine shallow water lakes.
