Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused about the interview scheduling process in the DR for CR1 visas. I remember earlier this year the embassy made some process changes. They now us USTravelDocs. I created a profile and it seems you can schedule an appointment whenever you'd like. So once your case is complete at NVC do you schedule it yourself, or does the NVC schedule it for you? In our case, our expedite request was approved and the case is in transit to the Embassy. Do I wait for the Embassy to schedule the appointment or just go ahead and schedule it myself? I'm so tempted to schedule the interview since it seems I can easily do so online!

It is my understanding that as a CR1 expedite, you schedule your own interview. Good luck.

Yes, u can schedule your interview but u need to wait for the case status to change from in transit to ready. You can schedule the vac and the interview.
