I noticed on Igor's list that 11/24 filings were being reviewed but yet when I clicked over there were no NOA1's with that date and precious few in November past mid month..

Of course the personal timeline is 100% accurate so I am very surprised to see that one day past my range I still have not seen the NOA2 ;)

Curious how many people that have filed in November have received their NOA2?

At 52 I am as impatient as a 16 year old.. If my fiancé were in Europe (10-11 hours) or Hong Kong (15 hours) then no problem, I would be on a flight once a month.. But with a 40 hour average flight/travel time I have been back for almost two months and am dying to fly over again but the time costs and travel expenses followed by huge loss in business production are prohibitive.

I am hoping that since all the data here is taken from what people here have reported that many of you or at least some of you have got your NOA2's if you filed in November.. My NOA1 was 11/23 :)

I called and got to speak to tier 2. First thing i heard was someone yelling out a name and then hung up. I called again and got transfered to tier 2 again. Put me on hold for like 5 min then said that they just received this case a month ago blah blah and they dont know if the case has been assigned to an officer blah blah blah. Keep in mind that processing times are 5 months. Call within 30 days if we dont hear anything.

Bottomline: None of them are helpful. What's frustrating is, we cannot even plan whether we should see each other again if it's gonna take forever anyway or if it will just be a complete waste of money going back and forth if we get approved sooner. ??

Anyway, im still hopeful. Love will prevail ☺️

My NOA1 is 11/23

Hello

We are on the same boat. NOA1 on the 11/23. Seems Califórnia service center is processing petitions from the 11/24 and our status remains the same.

Noticed also other cases where the petition was received after mine and got ( NOA2) approved already.

It can be so frustrating and stressful. I miss my fiance so much :cry::cry:

We can't make plans for anything. Airplane tickets are expensive, work doesn't allow long absences.... weeks, months go by,and we could be spending that precious time with our loved one instead we are stressing about all this.

Anyway, positive thinking is importante at this stage. We are not alone. Must be strong.

I am so glad that my service center is not Texas...! I will start to include all of you in my prayers as well.. I think that anyone going through this is committed.. Probably why the US divorce rate s 63% and success rate with foreign or mail order brides is 80% according to the USCIS..

One of my friends said he had good luck with local congressman's office calling regularly to keep things moving.. Not sure what if anything they could do but maybe they would be more adroit at following up?

Patience is a virtue and it isn't about just the physical separation... My brother says "just think above the belt" which is great advice coming from a guy that has six kids, wife, and spends every night at home and takes off one weekend a month with his wife.. I find that just being able to reach out and touch her, or to see her face when we talk would be enough (for awhile). Internet in Nepal is slow and Skype/video doesn't work.. only VOIP..

We are all missing our loved ones and this just sucks but hopefully we all get good answers in days rather than weeks :)

God Bless all of you!

So true, but we will overcome this:)

Same to you. Hope we'll hear the good news very soon.

I'm just wondering if once our petitions are appoved if our case status is updated automatically. I don't think that's the case though. Maybe it's been approved and we will only know once we receive it in the mail.

Keep us posted :)

It will be updated automatically and say case approved, or if they request for evidence. I asked them before and in both cases it will be updated online. ?

You can say that again, Texas is really behind. Feel sorry for those who's petition went there.

Good luck to all of us :) We are not alone in this and that gives us some strength. At least we have someone to share our experience and that truly understands the feeling of being powerless.

Good news will come soon :)

Wait are you saying that you think igors list is 100% accurate? Thats the funniest thing I've heard in months.

It's always nicer to educate people when they are presumely wrong then making fun of them. Because your comment didn't enlighten us at all.

We are all new to this at some point.

We learn along the way.

All that means is the one with the latest date that was approved was a 11/24 filer. Maybe whoever got a box of 11/23 files took the week between Christmas and New Year off.

You are very unlikely to come in more than a month over average, which is lightning speed when it comes to USCIS. Fretting over a day's discrepancy or imagining that you're the only person to have ever been in love with someone on the other side of the world (on a website full of such people most of whose visajourneys were double to quadruple the length of time you're looking at) is not a healthy or productive thing to out yourself through. You will hear soon. A handful of people heard 24 hours sooner. You are in a very very good and envious position right now. I'd not tempt fate in that regard.

Also, no one is at Texas right now as a direct result of a LOT of work done by people like myself and Wooderz here. So.... that wasn't luck on your side on that one.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

You are right.

Igor's list is populated by us vj users who we all understand are subject to human error. People enter the wrong dates, the wrong filing location or service center pretty frequently. Also I there are occasionally trolls and robots posting on VJ making up data. I know of several accounts in just my year here made up of false data to try to get around being banned.

We saw this a lot several months ago, and I'm it's still happening despite suggestions by members on ways to improve the timeline, that a lot of people were putting TSC as their service center when they were just sending their petition to the texas lockbox. They didn't understand the difference between the two. That skews the data when a CSC person who was approved in 30 days says they were processed at TSC, while TSC was really at closer to 200. We knew they were errors because in late March 2015, USCIS started sending virtually (and I say virtually because I can't know for sure whether it was 100% or 99 or 98) to CSC to clear the TSC backlog.

There are other ways the data can be incorrect but basically just understanding that the data is populated by users and is not actual USCIS data explains how it is subject to a margin of error - accidentally and intentionally.

(Once I got out of TSC I never looked back so I'm sure I'm sure these things are still happening but I can't look. I still can feel my blood boil thinking about TSC now.)

Igor's list is helpful to manage your expectations, but it's not the bible, so to speak. It can't be relied on 100%. Some people get worked up when igor's shows processing one or just a few days after they filed wondering why they haven't been approved yet. It can't be relied on in that manner. It's not USCIS data and even if it was, USCIS doesn't work in a perfectly numerical order.

Thank you very much for answering. :)

I don't follow the timeline like a bible, like you said it's not 100% accurate.

You have been through all this i believe, so you know how frustrating it is to just sit and wait. Your life is on hold, because you don't know when it's going to happen.

I believe it's just a way to vent out our frustation. :)

I'm still leaning how VJ works, and i truly appreciate you taking your time to explain.

Once again, thank you, that was kind of you. (F):)
