Wait time for passport delivery with K-1 Visa attached

Hi ,

My fiance had interview in the embassy in Ljubljana Slovenia, which went very well and was approved for K-1 Visa. He left his passport in the embassy for Visa to be attached, but three weeks later and he still did not receive it in the mail. Does anyone knows if this is normal?

Yes it is normal. The length of time in AP can range anywhere from days to weeks to months to years. Security checks are the reason. You can read up in the waivers and administrative processes forum. Good Luck!

It all depends on the location , j got mine in 5 bus days since I lived close to the embassy but other countries could take months or years , I say fllw up with it , they should provide a tracking # once it's ready to be shipped out
