Hello,

I have about everything to send out for the K1 visa. But I still have a couple of questions.

1. Can I put the documents in a folder? or i need to use something else?

2. Do I need to write something in the back of the 2x2 pictures of my fiancee and myself?

3. The Birth Certificates can i send them copies?

4. Does the translation need to be certify by a notary?

5. The date on the check do I put the date im sending it or do I put 2-3 days after I send it on the check ?

1. We used the 2-hole acco fastener (at the top of all the paperwork) with dividers like "I-129F", "G-325A", "Birth certificates", "Divorce documents", etc.

2. I think you write your names in pencil on the back of the pics.

3. Send copies of birth certificates. You will need the originals to show at the interview.

4. Yes, translations need to be notarized.

5. Date the check the date you are mailing the package.

Good luck.

From the USCIS website:

In preparing your packet, please take note of the following:

1. Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled.

2. Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.

3. The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing.

4. Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips.

Under general mailing tips (http://uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/scnational/index.htm#H)

They won't deny you for using the wrong clips but it is always a good idea to do what they ask in order to keep them happy when processing your petition!!
