Will file and send in my wifes Removal of Conditions (I-751) and thanks to Visa Journey, which I have followed now for a couple years, found out the new I-751 form has been revised.

Do not know if anyone in Journey land has had an opportunity to view it yet, but, of course I have two quick questions regarding it and hope someone has knowledge of the new form to answer my questions.

1. Part 1, Item #9 - USCIS ELIS ACCT NUMBER - I have my wife's A number and social security number, but, not sure what this acct number is and not sure where to find it if I do need it.

2. The form is very basic and simple, but, with sections on the Interpreter and Preparer, I know I do not complete those sections because I am doing this on my own, but the question is, do I have to Write "None" or "NA" on these sections, or can I leave them blank.

Thanks many times again for the help

I'm guessing you don't have one. Please check out page 3 of the Instructions to the I-751 form. It gives you more info on the ELIS number.

2. Again page 3 of the instructions tells you what to do for sections that do not relate to you.

Thanks many times again for the help

Good luck! :)

NLR - The IOE# on the reverse of my green card is 10 digits long and the new I-751 form for ELIS # is 12 digits long. Am I AOK just giving the 10 digits?

I am a little confused by this form as well. Who's the petitioner? I thought the person petitioning to lift the conditions is the US Citizen? Why does the Form then start with me? Do I need to change the form so that the petitioner is my US spouse, or do I have to write the cover letter in my name as opposed to having it be written by my spouse?

The person who primarily files the I-751 is the conditional permanent resident, asking for conditions on their own residence be removed. They may or may not ask jointly with a spouse. The petitioner is the conditional permanent resident. The USC or LPR spouse is referred to as the "spouse".

Oh okay, I guess I am confused by the example cover letter in the guide then. I have to re-phrase it significantly to reflect that I am petitioning and it shows evidence from myself living with my spouse, is that correct?

I guess you can say it however you like on your letter, as long as you make it clear who is who. On the form, the way they say it makes it clear which one they're talking about.
