I filed on the 17th with Nebraska as I live in Colorado. I got my NOA1 on the 23rd and then the NOA2 on the 28th. Not sure what happened, but cannot complain with such a quick approval. And I know it was forwarded to California because that is where the notices came from. Good luck!!!

Congratulations... that is amazing!

I do remember when I was checking the timelines obsessively while waiting for our NOA2, that I noticed a few couples who had their consulate listed as Armenia, who were getting their petitions approved much much quicker than other people. I assumed they must have had their cases expedited for one reason or another... if the OP hasn't specifically requested an expedite, and yet the NOA2 still came this quick... does anyone know if there's any reason why cases going through Armenia would get a quicker NOA2 than others?!

I had never noticed this, but maybe you are on to something. Would the consulate really make a difference? Something to ponder, eh?

I never, ever thought that the consulate would make a difference, and have never heard anything to suggest that it does (I was under the impression that all that matters at this stage is that you meet the criteria of being free to marry and having met in the previous two years, basically - that and one of you being a USC, obviously!)... but I do remember, back when I was fixating over the timelines far more than can be healthy, noticing that there were a few people who got approved (by CSC) much quicker than is average and that those people had Armenia listed as the country or consulate. That's just what I noticed though - other than my idle observation of a tiny handful of cases, I have no evidence at all - so don't want to be starting some totally groundless rumour!

.... anyway, congrats - you must still be reeling from one of the nicest (and most unexpected) surprises ever! :)

congratulations!

I'm happy someone from another service center was approved quickly. I was getting to feel downright guilty over my good fotune of filing in Vermont.

I hope the rest of your journey is as speedy,

Sue

:luv: So I posted last week questioning whether it was even possible that the on-line USCIS site said our I-129F was approved or if it was all a big mistake... Well, it was no mistake because I got the NOA2 in the mail today!!!:dance::dance:   It was approved, not sure how but what do I care... this is amazing and thank you all for your support. I know this will not be the last time I ask for it, so thanks in advance. WOOOHOOO... NVC and Cuba here we come... let the waiting continue.

Congratulations! Then it is true too that you break the record of the fastest approval in CSC's history! That's awesome! You can now breathe, sleep and eat well without worrying that they made a mistake with your approval. I bet it was a torture the past few days. Happy for you! Good luck on your next step!

Mae
