Thanks for this. Can anyone else confirm? What exactly does the receipt say on it? Is it for making payment of the immigrant fee? I simply don't have a PDF receipt anywhere. Just a few emails, and no account number.

Thank you so much for this. It turns out I was able to login to the ELIS website, and when I clicked on "View My Profile" I can see the "USCIS Account ID" and it's 12 digits long. Thank you for noting that the "USCIS Account Number" and "Account ID" are the same number on your letter. This is helpful. Perhaps if you can login to your ELIS and confirm that the same number shows under "View My Profile" this would put this issue to bed for a few people, I'm sure. Thanks again!

Type or print "N/A" in all sections that do not apply to you

Thats a lot of N//A. We don't have kids (Expecting in June) yet but putting N/A for five sections where they ask for Children information doesn't make sense. :-(

I looked over my old form and left blank what didn't apply. I would think that if you answer n/a to question 16.a that would immediately mean n/a to the rest of questions 16b-f ETC...

Thanks for posting this guys. My old email didn't have anything like this and I haven't logged into ELIS in over 2 years. :)

Just in case you didn't notice the button, did you try to reset your password?

As for the N/A, my two cents is that you should use N/A where a reasonable person might ask if you had forgotten to put something down. I think it's kind of unnecessary to put them in every field you're leaving blank, as that actually makes the form harder to read!

I've already removed my conditions so it doesn't matter and I don't care to go back onto the website again. I didn't like it the first time!

Thanks for your response Sukie. I am the petitioner and I'm filing it with my husband. I did filled out the form without anybody's help. I was just confused if I have to sign or write my name in the Acknowledgement of Appointment... I was thinking I should sign in it since PDF wont let me type my name on it.

Part 7 through 10 (where applicable) must be "signed and dated" per instructions. As the petitioner, you MUST sign it. Sign it (write it) with a pen in the appropriate box. If you are filing jointly, with your husband, the spouse will sign it as well. Petitioner will sign in Part 7 and spouse will sign in Part 8. Parts 9 and 10 will not apply for those preparing the form by themselves nor needing an interpreter.

Thank you TnJ, appreciate it, very informative,...

For fields that doesn't apply though, does it have to have a N/A? Example for part 5, can I just type N/A to child 1's first and last name and bday, then leave the address and child 2-5 information blank, so with part 9-10, N/A for the name and the rest leave it blank. Thanks

If you notice, the "new" instructions are not very good. They completely skip over parts 3, 4, 5 & 6.

For part two, they specifically state to enter a height, like 5'1" as 5 01, but the form will not accept 01 as an input.

Similarly, for questions that do not apply the instructions state to enter N/A, but the form will not accept a / character in those boxes.

Is the form supposed to be hand written??

And, what information they do provide is not very helpful.

For example, what is an ELIS account number? Do I have one? How would I know?

I asked these questions elsewhere, but:

Do/should we list US born children? (that's part 5)

Are affidavits now expected/required? The new instructions sure make it sound like they are.

You would not have an ELIS number as you did not have a green card upon arrival.

NLR - thanks for this, as it is VERY confusing.

So those of us who have done IR-1/CR-1 will NOT have an ELIS number, correct? We got the Visa foil in our home country, which authorized us to enter the US, then we got a stamp in our passports at POE which was good until we got our physical green cards. IR-1/CR-1 holders have A-numbers, but not ELIS numbers - so we should put "N/A" in that box on the new I-751, right?

But there will be other types of visas where they WILL have an ELIS number right? Probably not the K-1s, but which visa types WOULD have an ELIS number?

It's confusing since all of us had to PAY our fees through ELIS, and we probably got receipts that had numbers on those receipts...
