Thanks everyone for the replies, saw the lawyer today and i am going ahead with the divorce, also said yes to the new job so i will be leaving in couple of weeks.

Merrytooth- my potential and career is way bigger than doing something like that.

YES!!! HE CAN...

Hiring a lawyer ...... because "Battered Spouse cases" are not "do it yourself cases".

Lawyer should be able to sort out the Divorce in your absence.
