So I am looking for some great information on traveling while in the process of ROC. From what I have read USCIS gives you a 1 year extension letter as most of the time it takes them longer than 3 months to process the case from the day they receive your packet at D-90 days prior to the original green card expiration date.

So to my question is, has anyone had an issues traveling at lets say D+60 past their expiration date to another country. I am thinking that the only problem we could encounter is if the interview date was during our travel date and if so would we be able to change the interview date?

Any help would be great and always appreciate the help here on the VisaJourney.

Most of the time your expired green card and extension letter will help you get back into the USA. However sometimes people have issues with airlines and with foreign customs agents not accepting this documentation. So In general, most people have no issues but some do.
