I wish I could say something positive; however that doesn't mean negative. Though AP is more like a black hole and we have no control on the time and extent of checks it goes through, unless there is something genuinely wrong you will eventually get an approval. It also leaves room for appeal if you feel there was any mistake and you can prove them wrong. Regardless 19 months on AP from Bangladesh is still a long time. Did you ask the petitioner to reach out to local congressman or senator? They may (possibility is higher than ours) get some response from the agency than us.

Patience would be the key. This is the last part of the game and please don't give up on your hopes at this moment. Keep checking and hopefully soon things will be okay.

Best wishes.

AP or Advance Proceasing (aka Administrative Processing) is basically the last check US official makes on te candidate. Now this could mean simple verification by embassy at local level to serious extensive check by offices in USA. Depending on the info you provided so far and by your name this could raise different levels of check. Though your timing is extraordinarily long, but nowadays 4 weeks to few months is a norm. Handful of countries were identified as candadiates for AP based on various condition (polotical, social, and etc.) and sadly Banglsdesh made to that list. With all the terrorist activities across the world the security will be tighter and candidates will be sxrutimized even harder.

Yes, your police and medical will probably need to be done once you get a green signal but that should be okay if they approves you, right? You will need those papers with valid dates at point of entry in USA.

Talk to your petitioner and ask them to contact their local congressman/senator. They will happily try to help out their constituents immigration issues. Though the congressman/senator can not resolve your issues but they can at least get a better response than you. Just ask your petitioner if he/she can reach out to them. It is free and lots of information can be found on the senators website (I know the NY senator has for sure)

Losing faith and hope won't help you at this moment so stain strong and positive. Don't let the time or society make you feel down. Once this is over, no one will remember this and this will stay as a nightmare/bad dream.

Have a wonderful 2016 and hope you will hear something positive soon.
