Stuck in a READY status

Good morning VJ family,

Ok.. Here it goes.

I had my interview last Dec. 16, 2015 , from that date I wasn't able to check my status because I am not aware that I have to. From what I've heard that the visa will be delivered in 5-10 days I'm on my 13th day right now . So I finally checked my status on Dec 21 , it says there that it was updated last Dec 17 and has a READY status and is OPEN. As of today it's still the same.

My interview went well, didn't heard anything from the embassy that there is a problem . No 221 g form.

My question is what's next to be shown? Is it an ISSUED?

As days go by I am getting scared.. I can see posts that they had been granted visa in just days..

Thank you in advance who can share their experiences regarding my situation.

I would go to the embassy if possible...

I don't know if it is possible for me to go to the embassy and do the inquiry. Just trying my luck on VJ if someone has a similar situation like mine, who can possibly explain to me what's going on.

Maybe try and email the embassy. The holiday's might have slowed the process down as well. Did they keep your passport?

It's the holiday season, they're in not particular rush to get processing done.

It's a very good sign. My wife was in AP for 2 weeks and then her visa was issued! Just be patient and you will soon have your visa!
