pay stubs and being on the books

Alright so I have a question for you guys.

I'm a waitress at a diner that pays under the table. My boss will put people on the books only if they ask and today I asked him to put me on the books. I read somewhere that I need to provide 2 pay stubs and proof of income. I wasn't thinking when I wrote down my diner job in my history of employment and I'm working under the table... I put my boss in a position and I feel terrible. I also read that I need to give a history of my bank account, how long it has been open, etc. I will be filing for co-sponsorship as well because I'm in college and cannot support my fiance. We will be living at home with my dad. I've been working for the diner since November of 2014 because I work a seasonal position at an amusement park in the summer time. So with that being said there's a nice gap in between when I started working there and when I got on the books. I'll have my W-2 for this year and I have my other one from last year due to the amusement park. I'm nervous because our petition just got approved last week and now I need to mail him all of this proof. Will the officers at the interview question my fiance about my work? Should I be worried? Do the officers at the interview only look at the W-2's and affidavit of support?

Because you have a qualifying co-sponsor, they're really not that worried about your work. Also they're not the IRS, so they're not going to report you and have the IRS come looking for their back taxes. They may ask where you work, but it's really not a big deal because of the fact you have a co-sponsor (and they obviously will turn into a joint sponsor when your future spouse does their AOS.)
