I used to pay full price for everything I bought. I was always going after the clothes on the mannequin which are always FULL PRICE until I stumble on youtube videos about Thrifting...Hopefully, your partner will one day "take a hint"..lol..

It's not how much you spend, but sticking to your budget, if that's what's important.

Mine was full price off the rack. I love it. I can't imagine getting married in any other dress. In fact I look back and wish I hadn't always held my flowers so much. But that doesn't detract from the day which, IMHO, is about getting married so I can spend the rest of my life with someone. Having a nice wedding was just icing on the cake. (Pun intended.)

Red dress and cost $50 USD in Dressbarn.

My husband and me aren't fans of big stuff or crowded and complicate events, so our wedding was only with family and we got married in his parents house. Small and beautiful ceremony and was perfect to us!

May/29/2024 -- N-400 submitted online.

May/29/2024 -- NOA 1 released online.

May/29/2024 -- Biometrics Reuse letter released online. 

Jun/03/2024 -- Received the Biometrics Reuse letter in our mailbox at home.

July/21/2024 -- We got an email with the notice that the N-400 interview was scheduled. 

July 26/2024-- We received the physical letter with the notice that the N-400 interview was scheduled.

Sep/05/2024 -- N-400 Interview (passed!)

Sep/05/2024 -- Oath Ceremony will be scheduled. 

Sep/06/2024 -- We got an email with the notice that the Oath Ceremony was scheduled. 

Sep/17/2024 -- We received the physical letter with the info about the Oath Ceremony. 

Sep/27/2024 -- Oath Ceremony and Certificate of Naturalization issued.  (Journey over!) 

Oct/03/2024 --  We received the physical letter from SSA with the updated SSN card. 

Oct/15/2024 --  We received the physical letter from  NC DMV with my NC Real ID card.

I paid $7.500 many years ago.It was a Pnina Tornai wedding gown. It was not expensive considerig that her dresses cost between $5k to $30k,some dresses even $50k.I do not regret buying, and I donated to a charity in Ghana,Africa and many Ghanaian women got married wearing my wedding gown...priceless.

Many sites sell her wedding dresses for $200, $400 but it's fake.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It'd be lovely to see them all :) My Dad bought me a Vivian of Holloway 60's lace dress - think rockabilly but elegant - from England. I think it cost just over 100 pounds. I love it, after spending hours trying on dresses in David's Bridal it was a nice surprise. :)

Mine was around $30 but I had it made in the Philippines and just brought it with me when I came to USA. I wanted my mom to have a participation in the wedding process since she wont be there for my wedding.
