Sent AOS two weeks ago, arrived but no response

My wife and I sent the AOS package with petition for EAD and Advance Parole, and tracking number says it was delivered on Dec 18 No response yet, and what worries me is that the check hasn't even been cashed yet. Is this normal, especially with the holidays?

01/13/15 - I-129F package sent

01/15/15 - Arrived at Texas Service Center (sigh...)

01/27/15 - NOA1 in hand

07/16/15 - Case was approved!

07/21/15 - NOA2 in hand

07/24/15 - Case sent to NVC

08/03/15 - NVC Case # Assigned / Case sent to embassy (estimate)

08/05/15 - Arrived at embassy

08/12/15 - Packet 3 received

08/17/15 - Packet 3 sent

08/28/15 - Packet 4 received

09/28/15 - Medical

09/30/15 - Interview - approved

10/07/15 - K1 Visa in hand

10/22/15 - POE

11/06/15 - Married!

12/15/15 - I-485 package sent
02/29/16 - I-485 approved (interview waived)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

the last 10 days of December are usually slow due to holidays.Do not worry, you shall see your checks as cashed and notice in mail in up to 2 weeks from today.Majority of people get their work authorization and advance parole in about 2 months after filing. you can confirm this with through the timelines here.

Your documents was received on the Friday before the two busiest weeks of the year, Christmas and New Year, where there are only 6 full business days. And only after 3 business days, you should not be surprised that you have not gotten an answer.

When your documents were received, there is not someone there to receive it, open it, and immediately respond to you. It has to make it way through the system to get to the right person who will open it and check it before you are sent a notice of receipt. With three working days last week, last Thursday being Christmas Eve, Friday being Christmas, today being the Monday after Christmas, then New Year's Eve, and New Year, and then a weekend, it's not surprising that you have not received anything.

Give this two solid work weeks before you can expect to hear anything. Wait until mid-January.

Yes, count the working days; not calendar days. Ours was received December 10th, and my husband received the texts on December 22nd. Some people get notifications within 5 days and others within 10 days.
