On Saturday, I rec'd my welcome package from the NVC. On the checklist of documents to submit, it has proof of relationship. Now this confused the neck out of me because I submitted everything to USCIS, to prove a bonafid relationship ("proof of relationship). It also asks for a copy of the marriage certificate (which I am including). I was under the assumption that all that documentation is forwarded on to NVC, is it not? And if it was, wouldn't it be redundant to send the exact information? I don't know what to send, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. So I just send the same thing again, but to the current date to show a continual relationship (I.e. text messages, phone records, photos)...do I include, again the affividavits from friends and family members? Any immediate response would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to get this in the mail as soon as possible.

I'm pretty sure (if it's the same checklist most everybody gets) that proof of relationship in this letter is referring to how you are related to the applicant and not proof on your ongoing relationship.

This letter is received by many different kinds of petitioners - spouses, parents, children - so everyone has to prove how they're related to the applicant.

I hope I am correct as I didn't actually see your letter. I hope that helps!

Thanks Tasbbas for responding. I'm sure it is the "generic" form that is sent out with all welcome packages. I just didn't know if I should include any additional information. I've tried to search here to see if I could find any information regarding it but no luck. I would assume that the marriage license would suffice but I wanted to make sure that I provide whatever is required to avoid any issues, if possible. I will hold off anot her prior to sending anything, in the event that I should include something other than the marriage license. I did attempt to look on the travel.gov website but nothing in reference returned in NVC "proof of relationship." I will try and give them a call tomorrow to see if I can get a definitive answer should no one respond. I'd rather be safe than sorry...so close, yet so far!

I think this would be all your proofs such as phone calls, skype, emails, pics etc.

I was advised not to front load cause they do loose things. A marriage certificate just proves marriage not relationship. If u sent it already, send it again.
