I have a friend in the philippines and he wants to work in the united states and send money back to his wife and children. He has no college education so the only thing he could probably do is work in a factory or something. Does anyone have any information on how he would be able to come here and work. The uscis is kind of confusing and I don't know any employers that would petition someone to come over. Thanks for any help.

I know many highly educated and skilled people with over a decade of experience that find it very difficult to take the route that your friend wants to take. No employer in the world is going to go through all the hoops required to bring someone from oversees to take on a position that requires no skills. There are already plenty of unemployed unskilled workers in the states looking for employment. Unless he has connections with a factory owner who is willing to go through all the trouble to bring your friend over his chances are slim to none.

Waste of time.

He needs to find a company that's willing to sponsor him with an h1b visa but that's difficult because he has to have skills that these employers can't find elsewhere! So what does he have that americans can't do? Why would he specifically target the US when it's not even that easy for spouses and fiances to get in just like that. Why won't he try the middle east and just cross countries after 5 years or so?

I live in Israel and there are a lot of Filipino's that work here. They are usually hired legally as senior citizen care takers. It's a great job for them and they send money back home. I know a few here but not personally. He could look into that. They seem happy to be here and from what I've heard from at least one, they manage to send a lot of money back home.

Better off going over to the middle east... Saudi Arabia, UAE or Dubai. I know a few Filipinos working over there.

Or Hong Kong, Japan, maybe even Australia. The World is still a pretty big place with many opportunities for those who work hard to discover them.
