My husband interview was almost 2 weeks ago. Since then our case has been in administrative processing. My question is why hasn't my case been updated? My husbands friends that had interviews before and after my husband always get their case updated. Is there something wrong? This is so stressful!!!!!

*** Thread moved from CR-1 Process forum to the CR-1 Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

did they approve or deny your case?

did they keep his passport?

What color paper did they hand him?

If denied, it will return to USA and either affirmed denied or sent back for another interview

my husband has his visa and is already in USA and the site still says ready for interview

I think it depends on the data entry clerk as to whether or not the site is updated and several times it just changes the date / no information

I do I call twice a week the NVC and I talk to the congressmen and they couldn't help me, my husband is driving me crazy he wants to be with me and we've been away from each other for a year and 6 months! I just feel like everything closed in my face, I have no one to help me! I'm praying for Allah to help me! I'm always fighting with my husband and it's just so depressing! Can anyone help me or tell me what to do please I'm in desperate need of help!!!

By the way how do I join the interview thread I'm new here ? How will that help me?

Calling the NVC does nothing and is a waste of your time. Their influence on the case left when the case left them. Call the DOS.

No one can tell you how long AP will last. We have an entire forum dedicated to it. Some people from Pakistan wait for years.

Im sorry youre going through this. I know it must be very hard. Perhaps you can find more answers in that other forum. If you report your post a mod can move it if you want

Yeah I can definitely see the NVC won't do anything for me! But what's the DOS???

An entire forum dedicated for what?? Thanks and it's ok you don't have to be sorry! I would just appreciate if I can find someone to help me, I'm new with all this visa processing stuff and I didn't know it would take this long or even be this hard!

How do I report my post?

Posted (edited)

the department of state. As a USC you should know about the government bodies.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/general/administrative-processing-information.html

I dont remember the phone number specifically for the DOS. Try google.

But also http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/113-waivers-i-601-and-i-212-and-administrative-processes-221g/

Spend some time on vj on a computer.

The report button is bottom right but you can only see it on a computer not mobile device. Try using desktop or full version too.
