hello all

first id like to thank everyone here for the support and knowledge. I have a few questions, my divorce was final in March of 2015 I never got around to changing my last name, I just didn't really take the time to go to DMV or social security office.

I just sent the package, would they question as to why I have not changed my last name? is that going to delay the process? can I change it in the middle of the process?

thank you so much in advance, your responses will be greatly appreciated

What package did you send? I am going to assume you mean for a K1 visa with a new fiance.

It is not required that you change your name back after you get divorced. Changing your name in the middle of the visa process may be confusing, and also will cost money, so why not wait till you are married again and then change it to your new married name?
