[Paris] How is the visa for a cr1 mailed after the interview?

Hi everybody,

I had my interview for a CR1 visa last Thursday (12/17). The wait was long (~3h) but the interview went really well, the officers were extremely nice and friendly. Two days ago, the status on CEAC switched from "Ready" to "Administrative Processing" which got me a little worried, and finally this morning, it says "Issued"!

I guess the next step is for the embassy to send me back my passport with the stamped visa inside as well as the sealed package.

Do you know how they send everything back? (normal mail or chronopost or something else?)

Is there a way to track the mail? (I wouldn't want to miss it!)

Well, I will answer myself in case other people would like to know. On Monday morning, I got an email informing me that the package (passport/visa and I guess the sealed envelop) had been sent and giving me a tracking number.

Later on, the webpage on usvisa-info.com was updated with this tracking number as well.

It's a "Lettre Suivie" and it took the entire day on Monday before anything showed up on the tracking website.

I didn't receive it yesterday, so I'm hoping today I will get it. From what I understood, it's put directly in the mailbox.

That's all I know at this point!

Finally received it! It's a A4-size brown letter with the passport, the sealed envelop and instructions to pay the $165 fee for getting the green card.

On the tracking website, it still says "Processing at the postal center" even though it's been delivered. Don't trust the tracking. It just arrives in a day or two.
