My wife had never been outside of Russia and tried twice to get a visitor visa, denied both times. We had no issues. The K1 application is really in the hands of the American citizen, She is the one that needs to prove a meeting within the K1 guidelines. Of course you have to provide the G325 as well as a statement of the relationship and your desire to also enter into a marriage with her. I cannot comment on Egypt, but if you have decided on the K1 route, then go for it.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much actually your answer helps me a lot.. Wish you and your wife a merry Christmas

K1 Visa Requirements the 4 most important are that you are a usa citizen, that you are able to marry legally, that you guys are not under age,and that she commits to marry you within 90 day.also you can make a letter explaing the reason why you havent travel to meet her in person.just give it a try.other wise you wont know what possibility you guys may have...

The fact that you have met is all that matters. That she was the one traveling to see you is perfectly fine.

You say you want to do K1 because it's faster.. well on paper it's faster. There is a big chance you'll end up in AP no matter which route you go

The quickest way for you to be together would be for her to move to Egypt.

K-1 just need financial and evidence of met once in 2 years. similar cultural and language makes it easier. Job of US citizen matters too.. ie no suspicion of financial benefits from the 'transaction'

Hey VJ

I'm going to apply for k-1 visa and I've never been anywhere in the world... I've been trying to visit England twice in 2013 to see my friends and I've been refused twice coz I didn't proof strong ties .. Is this going to affect my case with the consulate at the embassy during the interview... Or is going to be normal... I'm bit worried about it actually...

Thank you....

In our case my fiancée was denied a visitor visa twice for the same reason as you. Being denied 2 times did not have anything to do with getting the K1 visa. The K1 is an entirely different process and had nothing to do with the previous visitor denials. This was also at the same embassy for us. Fiancée got the K1 visa no problem, except for the normal long waiting and some mix up of missing papers. Don't worry. Good luck.

are you muslim?

Is she muslim?

i would sugges since you are from Egypt, she should come there and marry

she should bring all the paperwork to fill out while she is there for immigration since there is one section that has to be filled out in your native language

and she should get copies of your passport and all things USCIS wants as mailing these later to her is expensive

Wishing you the best

incha allah all will be good

Jeanne

Isn't it a lot longer to process the marriage visa? I heard it takes up to 18 months.

A year plus however long background checks take is sort of normal.
