That sounds like the good AP, can be answered and dealt with in Immigration terms quickly.

This immigration nightmare is not ending, every time i think I'm sooo close they ask for something new. I'm the wife of a us citizen my interview was on November 25th and they gave me a 221g saying that I should submit my original nikka nama( marriage certificate in Pakistan) and 2014 tax receipt. which I submitted exactly after a week. After two weeks of being stuck in AP i finally emailed the embassy and i get the reply that is posted in the attachment section of this thread

"Dear Applicant,Your case file in the subject immigrant visa case has been reviewed recently. Pleas note you’re your petitioner's income is not enough to support your visa application. Therefore, please consider submitting a financially qualified joint sponsor’s affidavit of support. This would include an ORIGINAL signed form I-864, most recent years federal tax returns and evidence of employment.

We hope this information is helpful.

Yours truly,
Immigrant Visa Unit"

Now should i mail them through the same way, I did before through their couriers? I'm just sooo tired now, that my brain is not responding, does it say that my visa is in jeopardy or will they return my passport just like that?
please help
is this another 221g? Also i haven't received any reply from their official courier service although they said they will inform should they need anything, but this is the embassy's reply. should i submit the documents on a 221g documents submission sheet ?

You have to do exactly what the embassy request. You need a joint sponsor. They will need to submit 2014 tax return (all forms and W2) or tax transcript, employment letter and most current pay stub. And a I-864. This all has to be mailed to you because its a signature.

Don;t read into it more than what it says. No where it says in jeopardy or return your passport. They are telling you what you need to move forward. Sorry for your delay.

Didn't you guys go for joint sponsor at the time of submitting documents to nvc?

The consulate in Montreal can take 8 to 12 weeks to resolved matter's like that,so the wait is much longer than other embassies. And now the holidays are here so much closer and and short of stuff who knows how much longer we will be stuck on AP:(

Compared to the months and years bad AP can take, all is relative.

Can you please elaborate? Did you mean that you will be using a joint sponsor? If that is the case, the form is I-864, and if the joint sponsor is married and wants to use the income of the spouse as well, the spouse of that person will fill out and sign an I-864A. Make sure you submit the most recent edition.

Also, I am not sure whether Pakistan allows joint sponsors.

Yes i meant that il be using a joint sponsor. I think they allow that for paksitan I recently got an email from the embassy saying my husbands income is not enough so file for a joint sponser but wasn't sure of the form. Thanks for the info:)

I-864 for both petitioner and joint sponsor. If joint sponsor is married and files their taxes jointly with a spouse, then the spouse should also supply an I-864a

Yes joint sponsors need to provide proof of tax returns (at least 1 year), current income and/or assets, and status. They also must be domiciled in the USA.

Also, I am not sure whether Pakistan allows joint sponsors.

By law, when an immigrant visa is being sought (including spousal visas), joint sponsors are allowed in the event that the petitioner has insufficient means to qualify financially on their own. All Embassies and Consulates follow the law in this regard.

hello everyone!
please direct me to a website or write here if you can, to tell me how to file and fill affidavit of support 1864 with joint sponsorship. My questions are these
1) do i have to fill two forms one with my husband (us citizen) like his i 864 and one with the person sponsoring us? so in total 2 i864 forms?

2) should i submit tax returns for both (my husband and the person sponsoring us)? if yes, then how many years of tax returns should we submit?
3) Are these documents required to submit for both my husband and the sponsor? a) pay stub b) employment letter c) tax returns? IRS document? If they are more documents required please inform me.

4) Absolutely anything that I'm missing please inform me

According to many websites and official US embassy courier service; i read that in many cases if the embassy required more documents (in 221(G) cases) they would ask the embassy or call or email you, about asking for more documents and give you a new sheet of 221(G). Since there was no activity on my case which was on Administrative processing since several weeks I emailed the embassy and they asked me to file for a joint sponsorship; however the courier service hasn't given me any paper or informed me of anything. My question is this is this another 221 (G)? should i officially consider it as that? If i hadn't emailed the embassy about my case i wouldn't have known and would have thought that my case is on AP and would have forgotten about it for months; isn't this kind of inefficient of them the (the embassy and the American express)
