I am trying to figure out an average time for the NVC to get the packet to the consulate and it seems to be all over the place.. from as little as 4 days to four months but most around 3-5 weeks.. Is there a way to look at greater numbers of these and see something a little more concrete I wonder?

I am trying to schedule a trip over to see her and am wondering if I could schedule it to be there around or during the interview and then fly back if possible..

Expecting NOA2 next week sometime, then 3 weeks for NVC then...30 days..? Putting me at about the 90 day mark..?

Like all of you I am not enjoying waiting.. and I see the occasional 70 days from NOA1 to Visa and temper that with the 270 days... and seems like there is little rhyme or reason..

Brazil can be for example 90 days or more than a year.. Jamiaica the same etc.. Just looks funny when I screen capture and print a page and it's all over the place... ;)

Usually three weeks at NVC, then about one to two weeks to be sent and entered at the Embassy, then you can schedule the interview. Depending on the interview wait time would be when you should plan for.

Because all cases are different.

And....remember when your petition was first received, they extracted the payment and then placed everything into their folders and then into a box.

As adjucators finish a box, then take another. What if the case before yours takes longer? What if two cases before take longer? What if the two case in front of yours took shorter?

Also each adjucator may treat RFEs cases differently. Some may rework that case when they receive back the information requested. Some may wait until the end of the month to work on their RFE cases.

All over the place.

It took our embassy 10 weeks to say they received all our info. The NVC sent it and delivery was confirmed 3 days later but embassy kept saying file has not arrived. The embassy process can be long and frustrating. It's best to stay on them have NVC trace you file and if you have a lawyer try and have him help by writing a letter or do it yourself. It will happen, hang in there.
