My wife and I have been waiting for a labratory culture result for 9 weeks now due to an unclear chest x-ray on October 12, 2015...She had her Interview in Bogota Colombia on October 15,2015 and was placed on Admininstration Processing until the culture comes back for ...TB... Positive or Negative..they were suppose to notify her by e-mail after 9 weeks.. That time was up on Friday December 18,2015.. Today she called the lab and they said it was negative.. and they sent the results to the Embassy approved doctor...Dr. Roa in Bogota yesterday.. Today she called at 9 am and was told to send someone if she cannot come there herself to pick up the CD in the Entry packet..Is this the envelope that they give you to hand in at the point of entry in the USA ? also when do we hear from the US Embassy in Bogota ? she was told at the interview that if the resulys are negative she must send them her passport for them to insert the Visa into it and they will send it back to her...the CEAC website shows a touch today 12-23-15,,,But is still under admin. review...Can anyone shed some light on this for us?? When does it go to ready...She has to send the passport from Medellin to Bogota when they tell her to...From this point how much more time is it going to take...I have been on this journey for 13 months now if you look at my timeline... Please .. someone who has been through this help me out here with an answer.....Thank You...and Happy Holidays to Everyone here on VJ..

Dr. Roa in Bogota yesterday.. Today she called at 9 am and was told to send someone if she cannot come there herself to pick up the CD in the Entry packet..Is this the envelope that they give you to hand in at the point of entry in the USA ?

I'm pretty sure this is not the packet you hand over at POE. I believe the POE packet is prepared by the embassy at the time of the printing of the visa. The various medical documents that are transferred btwn medical providers and embassy are all sealed. My wife's doctor had documents delivered to the embassy via third party carrier, as it sounds like Dr Roa did too..

also when do we hear from the US Embassy in Bogota ?

Personally, I wouldn't wait around to hear from the embassy. (See answer below)

she was told at the interview that if the resulys are negative she must send them her passport for them to insert the Visa into it and they will send it back to her

Again, if I were you I would have her take a short flight from Medellin to Bogota and kill 2 birds with one stone. Pick up the CD or whatever it is that they're requesting you pick up and drop off her passport as well. Take an early morning flight out and return in the evening to avoid hotel charges. By the way, don't book the flight via Orbitz, Kayak, Travelocity, etc. The Colombia carriers such as Avianca and LAN are not providing these American travel websites with the lowest fares. Have her book the flight and pay for it from Colombia. You'll save almost half the cost of the fare. I'm guessing a RT flight from Med to Bog would cost you around $100 to $200.

From this point how much more time is it going to take

Call the embassy and try to arrange an appointment for her drop off the passport and do whatever else needs to be done. Once the embassy has these documents, you might receive the visa/passport at Medellin DHL office within a week or two.

Good luck!

p.s. 13 months sounds awfully familiar to me, too, but I believe you're very close to the finish line.
