I am so glad to read the responses here. My Fiancé received his visa today and one of the corners is entirely open. Was received from Embassy to DHL this way. I was over here freaking out. Telling him he may need to go to Embassy & He's over there- don't worry about it. No problem.

If you can put your hand inside the paper envelope then that is and issue. If the corner is cut, then you are good to go. I think they cut the corner to help immigration to open the envelop quicker once you arrive at your POE.

He sent me a picture and yes, it looks like on one side you can fit a hand in, but said he wouldn't be able to take any papers out. when I get home I will try to add the picture, but I don't know how to. Ty!

Look at the picture that the Original Poster (OP) attached and if yours is quite a bit worse off, then have him return to the Embassy for repairs. Best to call your Embassy and let them help determine the timeline for replacement or repairs. The picture that the OP submitted here is fine and is normal.

This issue comes up about once every two months. Nothing that can't be fixed.

Yours looks the same as the sample I found... that is a HUGE cut compared to how they cut it at USEM :wow: You should be fine.
