How long did it take to get your interview letter after you sent packet 3 documents to the embasy?

Someone mentioned on the forum that while we are waiting for the embassy to received the case we can phone NVC and take Case number and Invoice ID and can book the medical and interview appointment in advance! So I am trying to figure out if there is any possibility to expedite the process and save some more time, still not sure if its going to work because for Pakistan packet 4 contains instruction for medical n interview :/

I replied to your pm.

And no you can't schedule your appointment at ISL embassy. It is a little different here than the rest. The embassy schedules the appointment for you. Once your I-129f gets approved, you can call NVC after a week to get your case number (It can take longer than a week). This will help you track your case.

There is no way to expedite your case as far I know. You have to wait for the embassy to schedule your interview date and then if you were to be put in AP, wait for it to be over.

I sent my documents on Dec 7 to the embassy. Just wondering when should I expect the interview letter and date to be issued. I didn't know it would take this long.

We are so excited that we have our interview, but this brings an all new anxiety. What were some of the questions you were asked? We know each other very well but want to make sure we are prepared.

Congrats to everyone who have been approved.

The rest of us we just have to hang in there and remember that anything worth having doesn't come easy.

The interview can be easy or hard depending on the circumstances and how to CO view your case. They will ask you basic question like how you met, how you proposed, their birthday or work. Basically they want to see how much you know about your fiance and how genuine the relationship is.

Be confident and honest and it will be a breeze.

Good luck and prepare all your documents and make sure you don't miss anything.

Anxiety will worsen things up. Just stay calm. Be confident, reach embassy before time, dress well, smile, take all papers with you, sleep last night before you visit and eat something because it can be a long wait. Dont panic at all. And it is better than you both visit the embassy together. All the best.

Hi Everyone,

I have a question. Now that my K1 visa is in my hand and I am travelling in a couple of weeks (from Pakistan), do I need to do something important I haven't done yet? Just want to be sure if I am not missing any important step. Like any document that i need to get made, any regitration, anything. Please help. After I got visa, the only thing I have done is gotten a plane ticket. Thats it.

I don't think you need anything done except to get on the plane. keep the vaccination record safe and take your original birth certificate with you.

I can understand that, I am a paranoid person myself lol. Try to enjoy your new life and relax. Even if you need anything your family can always send it when needed.
