How long did it take to get your interview letter after you sent packet 3 documents to the embasy?

I sent my documents on Dec 7 to the embassy. Just wondering when should I expect the interview letter and date to be issued. I didn't know it would take this long.

Nothing yet. I sent an email to the embassy in abu dhabi last week, so hopefully I will hear back from them soon.

Congrats to everyone approved. I am looking forward to hearing about everyone's wedding.

My prayers are with everyone. Hope for the best. Just stay put and wait. Share these moments with your partner and do not get angry on each other, utilize this time to comfort each other. I am sure all of you will get the visa soon. We will share our experiences. People I know here are Uzma, Navid, MuhammadT, FNM, Lovepak. Guys you are awesome. We all will share our experiences.

FNM no update yet. The date is still showing the interview date so my case isn't even touched yet.

Hey FNM!

Yes I got it on the 8th but it was issued on Feb 2nd so coupdnt pick up earlier because there was a Kashmir day holiday. I will be in CA first week of March! Having my mehndi here next week and then going there to get a small nikkah done. The bigger celebration will be later.

Also the best place to find flights is on Matrix ITA and then you can use Skyscanner to buy it. It helped me to save up for our future by finding the best deal and lowest flight duration. No one wants to be flying 25+ hours so hope this helps!

RKX I hope and pray your case status starts to progress soon. Don’t worry, some cases take a little longer than others. Plus, from what I have been reading on the forums, males are made to go through more scrutiny. It will all be good soon :) Yes, I will be in US by end of March (IA) :dance:

Btw, we too used Skyscanner to find the best flight.

Hello guys. I hope all is well with you. Good news we finally have our interview date, April 6. I am so excited. Thank you all for the support and we'll wishes.

Someone mentioned on the forum that while we are waiting for the embassy to received the case we can phone NVC and take Case number and Invoice ID and can book the medical and interview appointment in advance! So I am trying to figure out if there is any possibility to expedite the process and save some more time, still not sure if its going to work because for Pakistan packet 4 contains instruction for medical n interview :/

AOS from K-1 visa

5/27/2016: Entered US on k-1 visa

6/01/2016: Married!

7/22/2016: I-485 & I-131 & I-765 sent to USCIS

8/1/2016: NOA via SMS & Email received

8/3/2016: NOA letters received

8/10/2016: Biometrics appointment letter received (scheduled for 26 August)

8/26/2016: Biometrics done at Alexandria, VA

9/19/2016: RFIE E-Notification Received

9/23/2016: RFIE Letter Received

10/27/2016: Responsed back to RFIE Letter

10/31/2016: USCIS received RFIE Letter

11/15/2016: Open Service Request on USCIS as EAD/AP was beyond regulatory time frame

11/15/2016: An hour later EAD/ AP approved, Status Changed to: New Card is being produced

11/22/2016: AP approval letter received in the mail

11/23/2016: EAD/ AP Combo Card in Hand, collected from mail box at 2pm.

12/07/2016: USCIS status updated to interview is scheduled for 01/09/2017.

12/10/2016: I-485 interview letter received in mail.

We are so excited that we have our interview, but this brings an all new anxiety. What were some of the questions you were asked? We know each other very well but want to make sure we are prepared.

Congrats to everyone who have been approved.

The rest of us we just have to hang in there and remember that anything worth having doesn't come easy.
