How long did it take to get your interview letter after you sent packet 3 documents to the embasy?

I sent my documents on Dec 7 to the embassy. Just wondering when should I expect the interview letter and date to be issued. I didn't know it would take this long.

Hello, my fiance sent his documents in on October 26. He received Packet 4 (the interview letter) on November 23 and had his interview on December 16. Hang in there...

My fiance's package 3.5 was received by embassy on October 28th. and she got a phone call from embassy on 3rd. November for an interview on 17th. November while interview letter arrived later. It all depends on workload and you need to keep in mind it is December and there must be some staff on holidays time off.

His interview went well. They kept his passport and said everything looked good. As of 12/21, his case is in AP.

AP in case of males is to be expected, I hope its not a long one. I am a male too and will probably get an AP, hopefully a small one.

His interview will be in Abu Dhabi. It seems that males are all going into AP. I hope that no one has to wait for very long. This process is hard and long enough with going into AP. I wish you all the best on your journey.

How did your interview go? Any status updates on CEAC website after your interview?

I had mine 2 weeks ago. It changed to "AP" for 2 days and then to "Ready"; been in Ready since then. It is weird because the details of Ready say: "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time."

Has anyone else been through the same status pattern?

I think your interview date took awhile because of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Our status on CEAC was updated a couple times and after the interview on DEC 22nd, it changed to AP, updated a few times in between, then went to Ready for one day on Jan 15th. The next working day was Jan 19th, so then the case creation date changed to Jan 19th and then it changed back to AP. That suggests that one security checking is done and another one has begun. It depends on how many security checks were requested from the embassy to the State Dept.

What date was your interview and what month did you send the K1 docs in?
